Abstract

FIELD: inorganic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: composition containing the calcined alumina, amorphous silicic acid taken at ratio (3-4):1 and sulfide waste lye also is prepared for binding agent preparing. Composition must contain the definite ratio of components, wt.-%: calcined alumina 20-22; amorphous silicic acid 5-7; sulfide waste lye 0.5-1.5, and water - the rest. Composition is subjected for wet grinding followed by spraying drying and the obtained mixture is ground additionally. Preferably, grain size of calcined alumins - 0.01 mm, not above. After grinding the binding agent must contain 40% grains (not less) of size 0.063 mm (not above) and size of the rest grains - 0.1 mm, not above.. Method is used for porcelain, insulators and other refractory articles making. EFFECT: improved method of producing.

Claims (1)

Usage: in inorganic chemistry in the manufacture of porcelain, insulators and other refractory products. The inventive preparation of a binder used for the manufacture of refractory products based on silicon carbide, prepare a composition that includes calcined alumina and amorphous silicic acid in a ratio of 3 to 4: 1, as well as sulfide waste liquor. The composition should have a certain ratio of components, wt.%: Calcined alumina 20 - 22, amorphous silicic acid 5 - 7, sulfide waste liquor 0.5 - 1.5, water the rest. The composition is subjected to wet grinding, then spray drying, and the resulting mixture is subjected to additional grinding. It is recommended that calcined alumina have a grain size of not more than 0.05 mm, and amorphous silicic acid - not more than 0.01 mm. After grinding, the binder should contain at least 40% grains with a size of not more than 0.063 mm, and the remaining grains should have a size of not more than 0.1 mm.
