Abstract

FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: proposed sorbent is prepared on the base of dispersed industrial waste which contain 50-75 % of ferrum oxide. Said component is affected by cooperative grinding with activating and blowing agent (e.g., with ammonium chloride) and with binder. Quantity of said activating and blowing agent is 5-15 % of the base. Sodium lignosulfate is used as mentioned above binder, its quantity being 15-30 % of the base. Pellets or granules are prepared of thus obtained mixture. Then they are affected by heat treatment in the atmosphere of hydrogen. Said treatment initially takes place at polythermic conditions up to 500-600 c within 1 h, then it takes place in isothermic conditions at 500-650 C within 60-90 min. EFFECT: improves efficiency of the method.

Claims (1)

The invention relates to chemical technology, mainly to methods for producing sorbents for hydrogen sulfide, which can be used for dry cleaning of gases from hydrogen sulfide. The proposed method for producing sorbents for hydrogen sulfide is characterized in that dispersed industrial waste containing 50 - 75% iron oxides, for example, red mud, which is subjected to joint grinding with an activator-blowing agent, for example, ammonium chloride in an amount of 5-15%, is used as the main component of the sorbent. by weight of the main component, and sodium binder-lingosulfate in an amount of 15-30% by weight of the main component. Tablets or granules are made from the mixture, which are subjected to heat treatment in a hydrogen atmosphere, first under polythermal conditions up to 500 - 650 o C for 1 h, and then under isothermal conditions at 500 - 650 o C for 60 - 90 minutes.
