Abstract

FIELD: radiolocation, sound fixing and ranging, space scanning and determination of spatial coordinates of distant objects. SUBSTANCE: proposed space scanning method consists in radiation of probing signal into some region of space with the use of transmitting antenna and in receipt of echo signals in set of N spatial channels by means of receiving antenna. Pulse signal with low relative pulse duration is used as probing signal. During transmission and reception uninterrupted scanning of radiation patterns of transmitting and receiving antennas is carried out by such laws specified beforehand that directions of maximums of radiation patterns do not coincide in space at unspecified time moment. Moments tof maximums of echo signals are registered in each nth (n=1,...,N) spatial reception channel. After this there are determined range and angular coordinates of object depending on specified laws of scanning which maximum echo signal is registered in nth spatial reception channel at time moment t.. EFFECT: increased range with preservation of high rate of space scanning. 1 cl, 7 dwg

The technical result expected from the use of the invention is to increase the range and maintain a high speed of viewing the space. In the method for viewing the space, which consists in emitting a probing signal to a certain region of it by means of a transmitting antenna and receiving echo signals through a set of N spatial channels by means of a receiving antenna, a pulsed signal of low duty cycle is used as a probing signal, while radiation and reception are continuously scanned by radiation patterns transmitting and receiving antennas according to predetermined laws, such that at an arbitrary time instant the directions of the maxima of the radiation patterns these antennas do not coincide in space, while in each n - m (n = 1, ..., N) spatial receiving channel, moments t m of echo maximums are recorded, after which, based on the specified scanning laws, the range and angular the coordinates of the object, the maximum of the echo signal from which is recorded in the nth spatial reception channel at time t m .
