Устройство представляет собой участок рельса, в шейке которого выполнено отверстие. Тензорезисторы расположены внутри отверстия по линии, равноудаленной от противоположных кромок отверстия. За счет переноса тензорезисторов из недогруженной деформациями зоны в более эффективную зону исключается влияние эксцентриситета на измерение.
