Abstract

FIELD: low-frequency communication systems for ships, submarines, etc. SUBSTANCE: system has symmetrical guide line with voice-operated subscriber telephone sets, small-size transceivers, portable radio sets, and interface units between subscriber telephone sets and transceivers arranged along this line. Voice information is transmitted via physical two-wire circuit by means of electromagnetic waves. Signals picked off transceiver are transmitted over two-wire communication line in either side and arrive through interface unit at other transceivers; same signals go through transceivers, are amplified in interface units, and radiated in ship's compartments. Radiated signals are received by portable radio sets. Two-wire communication line is routed both inside and outside ship's main hull. EFFECT: improved reliability and survivability of emergency communication system.

Claims (1)

The system of intra-ship emergency communication refers to low-frequency communication systems, and can be used to organize communication on moving objects - ships, ships, underwater vehicles, and can improve the reliability and survivability of emergency communication. The system contains a symmetrical guide line along which the subscriber units of battery-free telephone communication are located, small-sized transceivers, portable radios, and blocks for interfacing subscriber devices of battery-free telephone communication with transceivers. To transmit and receive voice information, a two-wire physical circuit is used, along which electromagnetic waves are transmitted. Signals from the transceiver are transmitted on a two-wire communication line in both directions, and through the interface unit they are sent to other transceivers, the same signals pass through the transceivers, amplified in the interface units and emitted in the compartments of the ship. Radiation is received by portable radios. To increase the survivability of a two-wire communication line, the latter is laid through compartments, both inside and outside the ship’s solid hull.
