Abstract

Groove is located at level of end face surface of compression piston ring with piston in top dead center. Width of groove corresponds to value of maximum summary clearance in mating of piston and pin, pin and connecting rod, connecting rod and crankshaft. Depth of groove corresponds to value of maximum tolerable wear of cylinder liner in working zone. Upper and lower walls of circular groove are made inclined. EFFECT: increased service e life owing to reduction of wear of first compression piston ring and upper groove of piston.
