Abstract

FIELD: veterinary radiology, in particular, method for feeding cattle stock on territories contaminated with cesium radionuclides. SUBSTANCE: method involves introducing ferrocine-2 into animal ration for providing selective sorption of cesium radioactive isotopes, with daily amount of 3-5 g per animal through the whole period of feeding animals with contaminated feed. It allows transfer of cesium isotopes from feeds into animal product (milk, meat) to be reduced by 2-3 times. Sorbent does not affect animal organism and productivity and does not decrease quality of animal product. EFFECT: increased efficiency and reduced effect of radioactive cesium nuclides on animal product quality.

Claims (1)

The invention relates to veterinary radiology, specifically to a method for feeding cattle in livestock breeding in an area contaminated with cesium radionuclides. The purpose of the invention is the production of "clean" livestock products when feeding feed contaminated with cesium radionuclides. The feeding method includes the introduction into the diet of animals of a selective sorbent of radioisotopes of cesium ferrocin-2 in a daily dose of 3-5 g / animal for the entire period of feeding contaminated feeds. Adding ferrocin-2 to the diet 2-3 times reduces the transition of cesium isotopes from feed to livestock products (milk, meat). The sorbent does not adversely affect the body and the productivity of animals and does not impair the quality of the products received from them.
