Abstract

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves evaluating sympathico- parasympathic balance index (SPBI) value from R-R interval distribution as relation of two parameters: mode amplitude to number of positions (N) forming the distribution. Logarithmic scale is used. R-R interval estomate resolution capacity is defined to be equal to 0.01 s. Positive value and magnitude of the SPBI determine domination and domination measure of sympathic component of organism cardiovascular system, respectively. Negative value and magnitude of the SPBI determine domination and domination measure of parasympathic component of organism cardiovascular system, respectively. The strength or weakness of the human nervous system is evaluated by taking into consideration mean time values describing simple motor response to weak sensory irritants or SPBI value. EFFECT: unbiased evaluation of human attention properties.

Claims (1)

Object of the invention: improving the accuracy and selectivity of the method for assessing the state (strength-weakness) of the central nervous system of a person in connection with the assessment of the state of the cardiovascular system of the body in relation to sympathic-parasympathetic balance. The sympathic-parasympathetic balance index is estimated by the distribution of R-R intervals as the ratio of two parameters: the mode amplitude and the number of discharges included in the distribution. The logarithmic scale is used. A resolution of R-R intervals of 0.01 s is provided. The positive value and magnitude of the sympathetic-parasympathetic balance index (ISPB) determine the predominance and measure of predominance, respectively, of the sympathetic component of the cardiovascular system of the body. The negative value and magnitude of ISPB indicate the predominance and measure of predominance, respectively, of the parasympathetic component of the body system. The state of strength-weakness of the central nervous system of a person is estimated by the average values of the time of a simple motor reaction to weak sensory stimuli or by the value of the sympathetic-parasympathetic balance index (ISPB).
