Изобретение относится к области охраны окружающей среды, а точнее к защите воздушного бассейна от твердых частиц (ТЧ) и газообразных вредных веществ (ГВВ), образующихся при сжигании углеводородного топлива, в том числе и тяжелого (типа соляры, мазута и др.), в различных энергетических установках: ДВС (преимущественно в дизелях), котлах ТЭС, ТЭЦ и т.д. Предложенный способ очистки отработавших газов (ОГ) от ТЧ и ГВВ заключается в том, что очистку ОГ осуществляют путем пропускания потока ОГ через фильтрующий элемент (ФЭ), измерения перепада давления на ФЭ и, если перепад давления превышает его заданное максимальное значение, производят регенерацию ФЭ путем нагрева ФЭ ОГ до температуры не менее 650°С, т.е. до температуры, при которой осуществляется интенсивное горение сажи на его поверхности, за счет подачи в поток ОГ, до пропускания его через ФЭ и сжигания дополнительного топлива до тех пор, пока перепад давления не станет меньше его заданного минимального значения. Кроме того, в поток ОГ, до пропускания его через ФЭ, производят непрерывный ввод химически активных веществ (ХАВ), способствующих конверсии ГВВ и сгоранию мелкодисперсных ТЧ. Причем ввод ХАВ осуществляется при температуре потока ОГ выше температуры диссоциации ХАВ. Implementation of the proposed method allows to significantly increase the efficiency of exhaust gas cleaning, the efficiency of the regeneration process and the life of the PV.
