Abstract

FIELD: medicine; clinical pharmacology. SUBSTANCE: method involves recording skin potential variation in response to gulps performed by the patient after tonsillectomy prior to and after administration of medicinal drugs. EFFECT: less costly method; more objective evaluation of analgesic activity.

Claims (1)

The present invention relates to medicine, namely to clinical pharmacology, and can be used for clinical evaluation of the analgesic activity of drugs. The essence of the invention is the registration of changes in skin potential in response to the swallowing movement of a patient who has undergone tonsillectomy, before and after administration of drugs. The proposed method allows you to objectively evaluate the analgesic activity of the drug. In this case, the reaction of the body is evaluated not to an artificial pain stimulus, but to a pain sensation from a pathological focus. The method is easily reproducible in the clinic and does not require expensive equipment. In the study of the analgesic activity of benzofurocain by this method, a clear correlation was observed between the subjective sensations of patients and the magnitude of changes in skin potential.
