- Изобретение относится к методам использования оксалатоксидазы при патологии растений. Предложен по существу чистый ген, кодирующий фермент оксалатоксидазу. Продукт экспрессии гена, кототый может быть стабильно включен в чужеродное растение-хозяин, имеет уникальный набор характеристик, включая оптимум pH 3,5, положительную термоустойчивость, единственную субъединицу примерно в 25 килодальтон и протеазную устойчивость. Методология этого изобретения, использующего оксалатоксидазу для защиты от щавелевой кислоты, включает предоставление растению , нуждающемуся в защите от щавелевой кислоты, фермента, разрушающего щавелевую кислоту, в количестве, достаточном, чтобы защитить растение от щавелевой кислоты.
