The device relates to electrical measuring equipment and is designed to measure the consumption of active energy of alternating current. The meter contains two voltage-to-frequency converters, a reference frequency generator, a reference voltage source, an equivalence element, and a reversible counter. In the first integrating voltage to frequency converter, the duration of the feedback pulse is determined by the period of the reference frequency generator, and in the second by the period of output pulses of the first voltage to frequency converter. The input of the first voltage to frequency converter is connected to the output of the voltage measuring transducer, the second to the output of the current measuring transducer. In each voltage-to-frequency converter, an integrating element is built on a voltage difference-to-current converter, to the output of which an integrating capacitor is connected. The constancy of the sign of the voltage at the input of each voltage-to-frequency converter is provided by transistor switches controlled by comparators. The outputs of these comparators are connected to the inputs of the element of equivalence, and the output of the latter is connected to the input of the counting direction of the reversible counter.
