Элегазовый выключатель позволяет контролировать качество изоляции опорных изоляторов путем измерения частичных разрядов электрическим методом и (или) контролировать напряжение на главном токоведущем контуре выключателя в процессе эксплуатации. Элегазовый выключатель содержит заключенные в металлический корпус подвижный и неподвижный контакты, закрепленные на опорных изоляторах, торцы которых снабжены металлическими экранами, связанными с фланцами корпуса с помощью шпилек. Экраны и шпильки изолированы от фланца втулками и шайбами.
