Claims (1)

  1. При передаче цифровых сигналов по световодам, которые на рабочей длине волны имеют заметную хроматическую дисперсию, длина участка передачи очень ограничена, если подлежащий передаче цифровой сигнал преобразуется в оптический посредством модуляции интенсивности. Если вместо модуляции интенсивности применить частотную модуляцию (также называемую FSK - Freguency - Shift - Keying) можно сильно увеличить перекрываемый участок, однако на приемной стороне требуется пригодный для этого оптический приемник. Согласно изобретению используется простой оптический приемник, предназначенный не для частотной модуляции, а для модуляции интенсивности. Это возможно, потому что вследствие хроматической дисперсии световода и возникающего за этот счет разного времени пробега компонентов сигнала, имеющих различную длину волны /λo, λ1/ из начальной частотной модуляции в ходе передачи по световоду возникает изменение интенсивности, характер которой содержит подлежащий передаче цифровой сигнал.
