Способ производства стали в конвертере с повышенной долей лома в шихте относится к металлургии, в частности к способам производства стали в кислородном конвертере. Изобретение обеспечивает снижение расхода теплоносителей и сокращение продолжительности плавки. Способ производства стали в конвертере с повышенной долей лома в шихте включает загрузку извести, металлолома, его нагрев, заливку жидкого расплава, окислительную продувку и выпуск, причем загрузку металлолома осуществляют в 2 - 4 порции равного веса поочередно, нагрев каждой порции лома производят сжиганием подаваемого через горловину конвертера каменного угля в потоке кислорода, в качестве жидкого расплава используют жидкий передельный чугун, который заливают после прогрева последней порции металлолома, а окислительное рафинирование металлической ванны осуществляют подачей кислорода через подвижную верхнюю фурму по окончании прогрева лома. При этом металлический лом подают в конвертер в количестве 30 - 60% от общего расхода металлошихты, расход угля для прогрева лома составляет 10 - 50 кг/т лома, расход извести равен 20 - 45 кг/т лома, расход кислорода - 70 - 130 м3/т лома. Кислородную продувку плавки ведут с промежуточной повалкой для слива кремнеземистого шлака на 5 - 8 мин, с присадкой в этот период 60 - 90% количества извести и 40 - 90% углеродсодержащего материала.
