Способ переработки лейкоксенового концентрата используется в неорганической химии, цветной металлургии, производстве пигментного диоксида титана из лейкоксеновых и перовскитовых концентратов по серно-кислотной технологии. Способ предусматривает активацию оксидов титана перед серно-кислотным разложением плавкой в электропечи лейкоксенового концентрата в смеси с кальцийсодержащей добавкой, отношение которой к лейкоксеновому концентрату устанавливают в пределах от (0,2/CaO + 0,7TIO2) до (0,4/CaO + 20TIO2) кг на 1 кг лейкоксенового концентрата, где CaO и TIO2 - массовые доли оксида кальция и титана в кальцийсодержащей добавке, в качестве которой используют перовскитовый концентрат, сырой и обожженный известняк.The method of processing leucoxene concentrate is used in inorganic chemistry, non-ferrous metallurgy, production of titanium dioxide pigment from leucoxene and perovskite concentrates according to sulfuric acid technology.
