Изобретение относится к области производства труб. При изготовлении электросварных труб применяется цельный лист переменного сечения с увеличенной толщиной стенки по середине или краям на половине ширины листа. Трубу из листа переменной толщины получают формовкой кромок, предварительным изгибанием середины листа пуансоном в прессе, а затем окончательной формовкой в замкнутом калибре пресса с обжатием. После формовки заготовка сваривается наружным и внутренним швами, а затем после фрезеровки усиления внутреннего шва по концам производится калибровка с испытанием на гидропрессе. Полученная труба с утолщением стенки на половине периметра может использоваться для транспортировки сыпучих материалов и пульп.
