The invention relates to military tracked vehicles, specifically, to the mechanisms of rotation of the tower used to install weapons, and can be used to upgrade existing machines. Currently, military tracked vehicles use a turret rotation mechanism, comprising a worm gear housing and a switching device housing with an electric motor and a manual drive. A disadvantage of the known mechanisms is the remoteness of the manual drive from the working area of the operator, which reduces the operating conditions of the mechanism. The aim of the invention is to increase the operating conditions by moving the drive manual rotation in the working area of the operator. New in the mechanism of rotation of the tower is that it is equipped with an additional gearbox, which is cantilever mounted between the housing of the worm gearbox and switching device. The cantilever shaped figured case of an additional reducer allows the manual drive to be moved to the operator’s working area at the most convenient place for it, which improves the operating conditions of the whole mechanism.
