LEFT-HAND CAR
The utility model relates to cars designed for use on roads with left-hand drive.
A well-known car containing a steering mechanism with a horizontally located bipod shaft, a steering wheel connected to the steering mechanisms by a cardan drive, a dashboard formed by box frames with cutouts for accommodating mounted equipment, devices and signaling devices, and patch panels mounted on the front of the dashboard (prototype).
The disadvantage of this car is the placement of the steering wheel, the steering mechanism and the cardan transmission connecting them, as well as the devices and signaling devices on the instrument panel to the left of the longitudinal axis of the car, which reduces the safety when operating such a car on roads with left-hand traffic.
The task is to increase safety when operating the car on left-hand drive roads with minimal design changes.
The problem is solved in that in a car containing a steering gear with a horizontal bipod shaft, a steering wheel connected to the steering gear by a cardan gear, a dashboard formed by a box frame with cutouts for accommodating mounted equipment, instruments and signaling devices, and patch plates mounted on the front part of the instrument panel, according to the utility model, the steering gear, steering wheel and cardan gear are installed to the right of the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, and in the said frame of the instrument panel s is formed at least one recess for accommodation of equipment, devices and sensors, also disposed to the right of the longitudinal axis of the vehicle.
In addition, the specified cutout, located to the right of the longitudinal axis of the car, is made in addition to other cutouts of the said dashboard frame. Overhead covers all cutouts of the front of the instrument panel.

The steering gear 1 with a horizontal shaft 2 of the bipod 3 is connected by a cardan gear 4 to the steering wheel 5, as shown in figure 1. Steering gear 1, cardan gear 4 and steering wheel 5 are mounted to the right of the longitudinal axis of the car, as shown in figure 2. The instrument panel 6 is formed by a box frame 7, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. In the instrument panel b, cutouts 8 and 9 are made to accommodate mounted equipment, devices, and signaling devices. Cutout 8 is also located to the right of the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. Cutout 8 is made in addition to cutout 9 of the instrument panel b, used to place mounted equipment, instruments and signaling devices when installing the steering to the left of the longitudinal axis of the car. The cutouts 8 and 9 of the front part 10 of the instrument panel b are overlapped by overhead shields 11 and 12, which are mounted on the front part 10 of the instrument panel 6, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.
