Description

The invention relates to the field of dermatology and cosmetology and concerns the use of cold plasma, in particular, to eliminate age-related changes in the skin [A61B 18/04/, A61B18/042, A61Q 19/00, A61Q 19/08, A61K 8/00, A61K 35/ 00].

Cold plasma is an ionized gas consisting of charged (the proportion of charged particles in the gas is about 1 %) and completely neutral particles, which are formed under the influence of electric current with a temperature of 30-40°C. The active factors are neutral gas, active molecules, charged particles, heat and low-level ultraviolet radiation. Under its targeted influence, biological tissue is heated to a safe 40°C, so exposure to cold plasma does not cause damage or burns to the skin. Cold plasma is a safe procedure that stimulates the production of hyaluronic acid, restores metabolism in the skin, and has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and bactericidal effects. The essence of using cold plasma is that when the skin is heated to 40°C, collagen and elastin naturally begin to be produced, which promote the regeneration of skin cells.

Known from the prior art is a METHOD FOR TISSUE PROCESSING [US20020161362A1, publ.: 02/13/2002], which includes the stages of: applying at least one pulse of radio frequency power to at least one electrode to create an electric field; passing a gas through said electric field to form a plasma from said gas; and also applying said plasma to the surface of the skin, wherein applying the plasma to the surface of the skin causes denaturation of collagen in collagen-containing tissue below the surface of the skin without causing complete removal of the epidermis on said surface of the skin.

The patent TREATMENT OF SKIN USING PLASMA [EP2670477A2, publ.: 12/11/2013] is known from the prior art, which provides a system with the ability to generate plasma above the surface of the electrode and in the direction of the anatomical area of interest, additionally including the application of a sensitizing material to the treated tissue before using plasma, and performed to prevent wrinkles, actinic keratoses, viral papillomas, scarring, seborrheic keratoses, sun spots, superficial skin lesions, basal cell carcinomas, squamous cell carcinomas or melanomas, Bowen's disease.

A method of using cold plasma is known from the prior art, described in “From Precancers to Skin Rejuvenation—A Review of the Wide Spectrum of Current Applications and Future Possibilities of Plasma Dermatology” [Friedman P. The closest in technical essence is the method of using cold plasma for the skin, set out in the publication “COLD PLASMA” [URL: https://dzen.ru/media/id/5fabaad4a8b6ce2ec7301200/holodnaia-plazma-6035a78bbd729c71d15ea5bb], which consists of cleansing the skin , applying painkillers to the surface of the skin, exposing the surface of the skin to a source of cold plasma in translational movements along a linear trajectory using serum.

The main technical problem of the analogues and the prototype is the low quality result of using the listed methods and the shelf life of the result after the procedures.

The objective of the invention is to eliminate the disadvantage of the prototype.

The technical result consists in providing a method for treating the skin with cold plasma to compensate for age-related changes.

This technical result is achieved due to the fact that a method of cosmetic treatment of skin with cold plasma, including cleansing the skin, applying painkillers to the surface of the skin, exposure of the surface of the skin to a source of cold plasma in translational movements along a linear trajectory, characterized in that the skin is diagnosed according to skin type, the area of the surface of the skin is subjected to primary exposure to a source of cold plasma with translational movements along linear trajectories,

Implementation of the invention.

Before implementing the proposed method, the skin exposed to cold plasma is diagnosed according to skin type:

- thin leather with good texture;

- thin skin with poor relief;

- normal skin with good texture;

- normal skin with poor relief;

- thick skin;

where thin skin is skin with a close arrangement of capillaries, there is practically no visibility of pores; normal skin is characterized by moderate activity of the sebaceous glands, which secrete the optimal amount of sebum, thick skin is characterized by oily sheen, porosity and/or seborrheic. By relief we mean the presence of wrinkles, inflammation, comedones, dryness, scars and cicatrices, as well as enlarged pores.

To implement the proposed method, a cold plasma apparatus is used, which has a plasma arm to which a nozzle is connected. To implement the proposed method, the presence of plasma nozzles is taken into account, as well as their effect on the skin: single-angled (Fig. 1), small (Fig. 2), medium (Fig. 3), large (Fig. 4).

Moreover, this method provides for a pulsed current supply, where power is the amount of energy supplied to the working electrode, and the pulse is a half-cycle during which the plasma discharge acts on the skin. So the choice of modes for different skin types is presented in Table 1.

For the area of the upper and lower eyelids, a single-angled (Fig. 1) or small round attachment is used, taking into account that the treatment area is small and extremely sensitive. For the abdomen and thighs, it will be more effective to use a larger attachment.

Further, the strokes indicate the pulses at which the cold plasma acts on the skin; the number of strokes means the number of strokes affecting the same point. Table 2 presents two options for exposure to the skin.

Due to the simultaneous effect, an enhanced effect on the skin is ensured. Thus, the number of strokes (layers) applied and their effect also depends on the skin type, this is outlined in Table 2.

As can be seen from the table, in areas of the skin with enlarged pores, sagging tissues, excess skin, and irregularities in relief, a larger number of strokes are used. So, for micro-resurfacing of the skin, 2-4 strokes are used, for skin tightening - 3-4 strokes, in other areas - 2 strokes. It is worth noting that the greater the number of strokes on a linear segment, the greater the elaboration, where the subsequent stroke enhances the impact of the previous one by ½. As can be seen from Fig.2-Fig.4, the impact of the rib enhances the impact of each nozzle by 10-30%.

After assessing the condition of the skin and before implementing the proposed method, the skin is cleansed, and lidocaine is applied to the patient’s skin to prevent painful sensations.

The prototype and analogues involve the use of cold plasma without any additional cosmetic products, or with the use of serums. Thus, in the claimed method, after applying the first layer of strokes, a serum is applied, which is an additional means for restoring the structure of the dermis and epidermis and has anti-inflammatory, moisturizing and restorative properties. A plasma current passes through the handpiece, which helps open the ion channels of the skin pores, as a result of which the active components of the serums better penetrate the layers of the skin. The effect of the serum is also enhanced by the fact that strokes are repeatedly applied over the serum (see Fig. 6). However, the use of serum on the same area of the skin, for example, after each layer, applying strokes is not required, since the skin absorbs the maximum possible amount of this substance at a time.

To implement the proposed method, several options for applying strokes are used, where exposure to a source of cold plasma on the surface of the skin is carried out:

- primary exposure to a source of cold plasma with translational movements along linear trajectories, then serum is applied to the area of the surface of the skin exposed to the source of cold plasma with massaging movements with the fingers, and then to the area of the surface of the skin to which the serum was applied is again exposed to the source of cold plasma with forward movements along linear trajectories (see Fig.7, guides are not indicated here, Fig.8, vertical lines in Fig.9). Performed for areas with a smooth anatomical shape, for example, head, forehead, lips, parotid area, nose, neck, décolleté, breasts up to size 2, abdomen, hips, buttocks;

- lines along a curved trajectory, where the angle of their adjacency depends on the shape of the skin area (see Fig. 9 - horizontal lines). Performed for areas with a round anatomical shape, for example, forehead, nose, upper and lower eyelids, buttocks;

- along a spiral line (along a tangent line, where at each point a constant angle is made with a given direction; not shown in the figures), performed for areas with a complex anatomical shape, for example, breasts larger than size 2;

- in the form of lines forming a grid (see Fig.9, Fig.11 - Fig.14). The lines that form the grid are perpendicular to or intersecting each other and are made in either a linear path, a curved path, or a spiral line.

Thus, the inventive method is used for the scalp (see Fig. 7) for seborrhea, dandruff, and apothecia. First, the initial exposure to the source of cold plasma is carried out with translational movements along linear trajectories along the partings (no more than 0.5 mm) around the hair creases, then the serum is applied to the area of the surface of the skin along the partings exposed to the source of cold plasma using massaging movements with the fingers, then the serum is applied to the area the surfaces of the skin on which the serum was applied are again exposed to a source of cold plasma with translational movements along linear trajectories. Moreover, they do not use a mask for the scalp. It follows that the fewer hair partings, the greater the elaboration of each hair follicle.

The inventive method is used for facial skin. Moreover, the face is conventionally divided into areas: forehead, interbrow, temples, nose, parotid region, area above the lips, mobile eyelid, lower eyelid, lips, nasolabial cavities, cheeks, lower third of the face, chin, 2nd chin. Creases and depressions, as well as moles, are not subject to the procedure (see Fig. 8).

The inventive method for the forehead and eyebrows (see horizontal lines in Fig.9) involves moving lines along a curved path from the center of the forehead to the periphery and temples along a curved path. To correct and moisturize the lips, the proposed method is carried out in the form of a line forming a grid. For the temple area, the inventive method is carried out, where the initial exposure to a source of cold plasma is performed with translational movements along linear trajectories from bottom to top, then serum is applied to the area of the surface of the skin exposed to the source of cold plasma with massaging movements with the fingers, and then with translational movements along linear trajectories from the internal angle to the periphery (see Fig. 11).

For the upper eyelid, the inventive method is carried out in the form of a line forming a mesh, the primary exposure to a source of cold plasma is translational movements along linear trajectories from a distance of 1.5 mm from the ciliary edge and continues upward to the eyebrows and temples for the upper eyelid, then to the surface of the skin, exposed to a source of cold plasma, the serum is applied with massaging movements with the fingers, and then with translational movements (lines) along a curved trajectory from the inner corner of the eyes (at a distance of 2 mm) and the nose to the temporal region (see Fig. 12).

The claimed method is not used in the area of output secretion. In the area of strong sagging skin (folds on the eyelid), an additional 1-2 strokes are made on top of the fold itself.

The plant components in the mask are presented in the form of extracts of aloe, ginseng, calendula, linden, chamomile, sage, yarrow, watermelon seeds, and Siberian fir.

Aloe extract is used as an anti-inflammatory agent that actively relieves tension and has a nourishing effect on the skin.

The use of ginseng extract is due to its nutritional properties to enhance metabolism and stimulate shadow breathing.

Calendula extract is used for antiseptic and wound healing effects.

Linden extract contains glycosides, tannins, vitamin C, carotene and essential oil, which helps soften the skin.

The use of chamomile extract is due to its anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antiallergic properties.

Due to the presence of phytoncides, sage extract has a calming effect on the skin.

Yarrow extract is used to improve blood circulation and balance sebum secretion.

Watermelon seed extract is enriched with unsaturated fatty acids, thereby restoring the elasticity of the skin and the hydrolipidic barrier of the epidermis, is an effective emollient, and regulates the production of sebum.

Siberian fir extract has an anti-inflammatory, regenerating effect on the skin and tissues.

The composition of the claimed cosmetic mask uses vitamin E as an active antioxidant (antioxidant), and vitamin E increases skin elasticity. The range of vitamin E content is 0.3-1.0 wt. % is due to the fact that when it decreases, its functional significance is lost, and if it is excessive, the extracts will not give the desired effect, since they simply do not have time to react with the skin of the face and/or neck during the stated time.

Coenzyme Q10 is a component essential for life, participating in the redox reactions of tissue respiration. The synthesis of coenzyme Q10 in the body noticeably decreases after 30 years, which leads to a decrease in the respiratory activity of cells (skin aging). The use of coenzyme Q10 is due to its antioxidant properties and in an amount of 0.1-0.3 wt. % provides an anti-stress effect on skin cells, promotes rejuvenation and prevention of aging, protecting against the effects of free radicals; in larger quantities, the effectiveness of coenzyme Q10 is lost due to oxidation by air oxygen; in addition, skin coloring is possible; in smaller quantities, its effect will be minimal.

The use of hyaluronic acid in an amount of 0.1-1.5 wt. % is due to moisturizing the epidermis and preventing the evaporation of moisture from its surface, as well as promoting the transfer of other beneficial substances into the deeper layers of the skin, thereby providing a regenerating effect. Exceeding the specified amount of hyaluronic acid leads to a deterioration in the throughput of the epidermis.

D-panthenol is a B vitamin (a derivative of pantothenic acid) and has a regenerating, metabolic and mild anti-inflammatory effect in an amount of 0.7-6.0 wt. %, in smaller quantities it is ineffective, and in excess it can cause allergic reactions.

The use of snail mucin extract is due to the content of hyaluronic and glycolic acids, collagen and elastin, vitamins, copper peptides, glycoproteins, allantoins, calcium, chitosan, proteases, antibacterial substances, and enzymes in its composition. Thus, this extract can serve as a replacement for the action of hyaluronic acid (in pure form and in larger quantities) and D-panthenol. Snail mucin extract accelerates cell regeneration, nourishes and softens the skin, eliminates inflammation and flaking. In an amount of 0.8-7.5 wt. %, in smaller quantities this extract is ineffective, and in excess it can cause allergic reactions.

As a diluent in an amount of 61.57-89.495 wt. % of the resulting mixture of the above components, mineral, distilled and drinking water can be used.

The inventive cosmetic mask is impregnated into a textile material (for example, three-layer gauze, spunbond, etc.) on one side, which will subsequently come into contact with the skin. For ease of use, cutouts are made for the eyes, nose and lips, etc. After 25 minutes, the cosmetic mask is removed; it has been experimentally proven that this time is enough for the components to be completely absorbed.

Application of a method of treating the skin with cold plasma for its improvement, including applying a mask in accordance with the claims of the invention.

Before implementing the proposed method, the skin exposed to cold plasma is diagnosed according to skin type.

Prepare the cold plasma apparatus, plasma manipulator and nozzle in accordance with the recommendations given in Table 1. Select the number of layers of strokes and the number of impacts, taking into account skin type and relief (Table 2).

This is followed by preparation of the skin. Here, deep cleaning, which involves peeling the skin, is not required; superficial cleansing of dirt, sebaceous and sweat secretions is sufficient.

Next, the skin is exposed to cold plasma according to the above-described inventive method.

At the final stage, the skin exposed to the cold plasma source is treated with an alcohol-free antiseptic. After this, a moisturizing and nourishing agent is applied, for example, the inventive cosmetic mask to restore the skin.

The inventive method, including the application of a manufactured sample of the proposed cosmetic mask, was tested to confirm the claimed technical result by conducting several similar experiments, in which volunteers of different ages and different facial skin problems participated as patients.

In order for the results to be accurate, the experiment was carried out for the same people with a time difference of 1.5 years. As it was found out in practice, the validity period of the method specified in the prototype does not exceed 1 year, depending on the type and condition of the skin. 1.5 years after the first procedure (see prototype), the claimed method of cosmetic treatment of the skin with cold plasma was carried out to improve its health. Thus, the results obtained from the prototype method and the results of the proposed method do not correlate with each other.

Example 1.

Figure 15 shows the first example of the action of the proposed method on a patient (woman, 31 years old). The photos in Fig. 15 were taken before the implementation of the proposed method and a week later. Areas of application of the proposed method are the forehead, between the eyebrows, temples, nose, parotid region, area above the lips, mobile eyelid, lower eyelid, nasolabial cavities, cheeks, lower third of the face, chin. Problems with the skin before applying the proposed method: dry skin, dull skin color, hyperpigmentation of the skin around the eyes, the appearance of primary wrinkles in the forehead and nasolabial folds. Table 3 presents the results of a comparative experiment between the prototype and the proposed method.

The components are placed in a container and mixed until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Afterwards, the resulting composition of the cosmetic mask is impregnated into a textile material (for example, three-layer gauze, spunbond, etc.) on one side, which will subsequently come into contact with the skin. For ease of use, before applying the mask, make cutouts for the eyes, nose and lips, etc. After 25 minutes, the cosmetic mask is removed; it has been experimentally proven that this time is enough for the components to be completely absorbed. When dry, the mask does not tighten the skin, so it can be used in the area around the eyes. After this time, the fabric material is removed from the surface of the skin, and the remnants of the mask are removed using viscose napkins.

The results of experiments conducted on specific patients of different ages and with different skin types revealed the following positive qualities of the proposed cosmetic mask, in contrast to the prototype:

- no irritation on damaged skin areas;

- significant enhancement of the proposed method through the use of a cosmetic mask;

- validity period of the procedure: from 1.5 to 2 years (for the prototype no more than 1 year).

Thus, the experiments carried out proved the achievement of the stated technical result - the prevention of age-related changes (for example, dull complexion, post-acne, swelling of facial tissues, etc.) through the use of a method of cosmetic treatment of the skin with cold plasma to improve its health.
