Abstract
Description
Common Rail.The invention relates to a technology for the production of fuel equipment for internal combustion engines and can be used, in particular, when testing Common Rail fuel systems.
The fuel equipment of internal combustion engines includes hydraulic components (hereinafter referred to as components), the internal cavities of which, during testing and in operation, are loaded with high fuel pressure. This applies, among other things, to the components of Common Rail systems, in which, during engine operation, fuel is under a pressure of about 160 MPa and higher. Examples include accumulators, high pressure fuel lines, injectors, pumps. In real operating conditions, the pressure in the internal cavities of the components of the fuel equipment is variable in magnitude. Pressure fluctuations during engine operation are an additional factor that negatively affects the tightness and strength of the structure.
The creation of fluctuations in the pressure of process fluids in the internal cavities of the components during the production of fuel equipment may be advisable in at least two cases: firstly, for the implementation of the so-called autofreting and, secondly, during testing, to simulate operational loading.
A known method and device for generating pressure fluctuations in a fluid flow (US Pat. RU No. 2464456, publ. 20.10.2012. Bull. No. 29). The known method consists in alternately supplying liquid through two working channels to a common outlet manifold, where a hydraulic cylinder with two pistons connected by a rod is installed. In the wall of the hydraulic cylinder, two windows are made, each connected to its own working channel. One piston is installed inside the hydraulic cylinder between the windows, the second in the outlet manifold. Compression and rarefaction waves are created in the outlet manifold due to the reciprocating movement of the pistons. Switching the direction of the liquid flow between the two working channels is carried out by supplying a flat jet to a flat wedge installed at a certain distance from the slotted inlet nozzle towards the flow. The pressure drop between the working channels is used to generate pressure pulses in the outlet manifold.
The disadvantages of the known solution include the sensitivity of the structure of two pistons rigidly connected to each other by a rod to misalignments of both the pistons themselves relative to each other when they are installed and secured to the rod, and the holes for the pistons in the hydraulic cylinder and the outlet manifold or perforated glass (the option proposed in known solution). An increase in the mutual misalignment of the pistons will lead to a decrease in the efficiency of converting the pressure drop between the working channels into pressure pulses in the outlet manifold. Since both pistons must have a certain height, ensuring the hydraulic tightness of the connection, if the connection "pistons-rod" is somewhat skewed, the device may become inoperative. An important feature of the known solution, which will be a disadvantage when testing fuel equipment for strength, is the need to organize a constant flow of liquid through the device, since the effectiveness of the known method and device for its implementation depends on the speed of fluid movement.
A known method of excitation of pressure fluctuations in a closed volume and a hydraulic oscillator for its implementation (AC No. 1606752, publ. 15.11.1990. Bull. No. 42). The device includes two pistons installed in the body and hydraulically interconnected, the bottoms of which, together with specially profiled body walls, form a working chamber filled with a working fluid. One of the pistons is the master and is associated with an unspecified source of mechanical energy, from which it receives movement. The authors of the known solution define the second piston as the working body of the device. It is connected to the body through an elastic damper, and between the outer surface of the second piston and the body wall, a cavity is formed, filled with a damping liquid. According to the known solution, the master piston moves with a predetermined frequency and compresses the working fluid in the working chamber, creating a pressure wave towards the bottom of the second piston. Returning to its original position, the master piston creates a rarefaction wave, which reaches the bottom of the second piston and is reflected in the opposite direction. At the moment the rarefaction wave reaches the bottom of the master piston, the latter issues the next impulse. Increased pressure pulses are summed up until the high pressure wave moves the working element of the device, overcoming the resistance of the damper and damping fluid. Moving a distance determined by the elastic properties of the damper and the damping fluid, the working body of the device creates a working pressure pulse in the outlet pipe.
The disadvantages of the known solution include the use of two different fluids - working and damping and, accordingly, the need for special measures to prevent mixing. The disadvantages are also the use of a damper, periodically deformed during the operation of the device and thereby limiting the resource of the entire structure.
The closest in terms of the set of essential features - the prototype of the proposed invention - is a hydraulic test method (US Pat. RU No. 2649619, publ. 04.04.2018. Bull. No. 10), which involves filling the inner cavity of the test product with the first process fluid, creating with its help in the inner the cavity of the test product of the initial pressure and the subsequent change in the magnitude of this pressure within the specified limits. The change in pressure, according to the known solution, consists in increasing it to a predetermined value using pressure amplifiers made in the form of booster cylinders connected in parallel to the tested product. The number of booster cylinders may be equal to one, but the preferred option, according to the known solution, is to alternately use a plurality of booster cylinders with sequentially increasing gains. The number of booster cylinders corresponds to the number of pumps to drive them. The pressure amplifiers are driven by supplying a second process fluid to their inputs. According to the well-known solution, mixing of process fluids is not allowed. In this case, water is used as the first process fluid used to fill the internal cavity of the product, and hydraulic oil is used as the second process fluid used to drive pressure amplifiers. When a predetermined level of pressure in the internal cavity of the product is reached, all booster cylinders, except one, switch off and maintain the product under pressure for a predetermined time interval. Thus, after reaching a predetermined pressure level with the help of the booster cylinders, the tests are continued at constant pressure.
The disadvantages of the known solution include:
- использование двух типов жидкостей;- use of two types of liquids;
- использование бустерных цилиндров с различными коэффициентами усиления;- the use of booster cylinders with different amplification factors;
- использование отдельных насосов для привода каждого бустерного цилиндра;- use of separate pumps to drive each booster cylinder;
The technical problem to be solved by the present invention is to create an effective method for hydraulic testing of components of Common Rail systems and a device for its implementation, allowing to provide a cyclic change in pressure in the internal cavities of the tested products. This will allow component tests to be performed while simulating real-world loading conditions in service, and may furthermore allow component hardening through autofrequency.
The solution to this technical problem is achieved by:
- применения одной технологической жидкости для привода усилителей давления и для нагружения компонента;- using one process fluid to drive pressure amplifiers and to load a component;
- использование для привода всех используемых при испытаниях усилителей давления одного стендового насоса;- use of one bench pump for the drive of all pressure amplifiers used for testing;
- использование в качестве усилителей давления электроуправляемых мультипликаторов давления (далее – мультипликаторов) с одинаковыми коэффициентами мультипликации (усиления), обеспечивающих циклическое изменение давления с заданными частотой и амплитудой во внутренней полости компонента.- the use of electrically controlled pressure multipliers (hereinafter referred to as multipliers) with the same multiplication (amplification) coefficients as pressure amplifiers, providing a cyclic change in pressure with a given frequency and amplitude in the internal cavity of the component.
A novelty in the proposed method of hydraulic testing of Common Rail system components is a combination of the use of one process fluid for driving pressure amplifiers and loading the tested product with internal pressure, ensuring periodic pressure fluctuations with a given frequency and amplitude for a given period of time, as well as the use of electrically controlled pressure amplifiers as pressure amplifiers. multipliers having the same multiplication factors, which are simultaneously supplied with width-modulated control signals of the same characteristics.
The proposed method of hydraulic testing of components of Common Rail systems is carried out as follows.
The product under test - a component of the Common Rail system - is installed on the test bench. A bench pump is connected to the subject.
The bench pump is also connected to the above-piston cavity of the multiplier. The sub-plunger cavity of the multiplier is connected to the item under test.
Depending on the value of the maximum pressure that must be developed in the inner cavity of the test product, the design features of the test product and the pressure amplifiers used, the number of pressure amplifiers can be different. The proposed method does not exclude the use of a single multiplier, if it is technically justified. If several multipliers are used, they are connected in parallel.
Using a bench pump, the internal cavity of the test item is filled with a process fluid. At the same time, the process fluid fills the above-piston and sub-piston cavities of the multipliers.
Proposed as the present invention, the method of hydraulic testing of components of Common Rail systems involves the use of one process fluid to load the test product and drive the multipliers.
Common Rail.A preferred option is the use of diesel fuel as a process fluid having a density of 825-865 kg / m 3 at 15 ° C and a kinematic viscosity (1.8-6.1) mm 2 / s at 40 ° C. It is also possible to use a calibration fluid having a density of 825 kg / m 3 at 15 ° C and a kinematic viscosity of 2.53 mm 2 / s at 40 ° C. The advantages of using diesel fuel and calibration fluid are their widespread use and application in the production of Common Rail fuel equipment.
An initial pressure level in the inner cavity of the test item is created using a bench pump according to a predetermined program.
In the initial state - in the absence of supply of control signals to the multiplier actuators and a constantly operating bench pump - the pressures in the above-piston and sub-piston cavities of the multipliers, as well as in the inner cavity of the test product, are equal to each other. The change in pressure due to leaks of the process fluid through the clearances, as practice shows, can be neglected.
By giving control signals to the actuators of the multipliers, pressure pulses are created in the sub-plunger cavities of the multipliers connected to the inner cavity of the test item.
It is preferable to control the actuators of the multipliers using width modulated signals. This is due to the peculiarity of controlling high-speed electromagnets, which, according to the applicant's experience, are most suitable for use in actuators of electrically controlled multipliers.
Common Rail.In this case, the frequency of the signals and the duration of the holding section are determined by the purpose of using the proposed method and can be different for use in relation to various components of Common Rail systems.
All multipliers connected to the test item are simultaneously supplied and switched off the same control signals to ensure the same pressure change in the test item within the manufacturing accuracy of parts.
The frequency of supply of control signals is from 3 Hz to 25 Hz, depending on the tasks of specific tests.
An example of the implementation of the method
The fuel accumulator of the Common Rail system of the D-245.7E3 engine manufactured by the Minsk Motor Plant was tested. During the tests, one electrically controlled multiplier was connected to the fuel battery. The actuator of the multiplier included an electromagnet of a common rail injector, serially produced by the Altai Precision Products Plant. The control signals were supplied to the multiplier through a bench control unit. The frequency of the control signals was 5 Hz. The tests were carried out at two values of the initial pressure - 50 MPa and 1000 MPa. In the tested fuel cell, pressure pulses with amplitudes of 12 MPa and 18 MPa, respectively, were obtained.
The technical result of the method of hydraulic testing of components of Common Rail systems proposed as an invention is:
- обеспечение возможности проведения испытаний при переменном давлении, включая имитацию эксплуатационных режимов работы компонентов систем Common Rail, что может быть использовано при проведении, например, прочностных или ресурсных испытаний компонентов;- ensuring the possibility of testing at variable pressure, including simulating the operating modes of the components of Common Rail systems, which can be used when carrying out, for example, strength or life tests of components;
- упрощение проведения испытаний за счет применения одной рабочей жидкости для нагружения испытуемых изделий и привода усилителей давления.- simplification of testing due to the use of one working fluid for loading the tested products and the drive of pressure amplifiers.
