SUBSTANCE: method of using range finders as final cross-sections relates to measurement facilities in sport. Method consists in installation of distance meters at the finish line, breaking tracks at the finish, corresponding to the track edges to the range finders and subsequent processing of data, of the arrival from the range finder at crossing of the finish line by participants of the competitions to determine the order and time of passage by the distance participants.
EFFECT: method is proposed for use of range finders as final cross-sections.
