Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a technology for the preparation of a charge for the process of reducing metal oxide by means of high-temperature reduction firing in a furnace with a moving hearth. The invention relates to a technology for the production of metallic iron by means of high-temperature reduction processing of a composite charge in an annular hearth furnace.
[3]).The process of producing granular metallic iron from oxide-containing raw materials in an annular hearth furnace consists in providing the conditions for the recovery processes to occur in a pelletized charge in a fairly short time (10-15 min) at high temperature (up to 1450 ° C) with the formation of two liquid phases (metallic and slag), their rapid cooling to a solid state and the separation of metal granules from slag (see, for example, [1]). The bulk of research in this area is devoted to improving the process from the point of view of increasing its technical and economic indicators by involving low-grade iron ore raw materials and carbon-containing reducing agents in the circulation, introducing additives in the charge composition that reduce the melting temperature of slag to facilitate coalescence of the reduced metal and accelerate the cohesion of the by-product slag product. In this case, an important role is given to the charge of the feedstock with observance of the slag composition close to the basicity index determined by the content of such substances as CaO, MgO and SiO 2 in the feed mixture (see, for example, RF patent No. 2301834, СВВ 13/08, 2007 [2]; RF patent No. 2449023, СВВ 13/08, 2012, [3]).
A known method of producing granular metallic iron in a rotary hearth furnace, in which in addition to the iron ore concentrate, 18-24 weight is added to the initial charge. % stone and / or brown coal, 3.8-13.7 weight. % CaCO 3 , and as a substance that facilitates the coalescence of the reduced metal - 1-7 weight. % quartz sand with a content of at least 95% SiO 2 and a fraction of not more than 0.2 mm (RF patent No. 2497953, C21B 13/08, 2013, [4]). The disadvantages of the implementation of this method are the use of a pure (and therefore having limited availability for industrial use) chemical substance - calcium carbonate, and the formation of a large amount of slag (up to almost 100% by weight of the target product - restored metal), which negatively affects the technique -economic process indicators.
A known method for the production of granular metal (RF patent No. 2271395, СВВ 13 / 00,2006, [5]) by heating a material comprising a substance containing metal oxide and a carbon-containing reducing agent. In this case, conditions are created for realizing the possibility of separating the granular metal from the slag component. To accelerate the cohesion of a by-product of the slag product, a cohesion accelerator is added in an amount of 0.2-2.5 weight. % In particular, Na 2 CO 3 and Na 2 O are used as a cohesion accelerator. This method also has a significant drawback due to the use of pure chemicals in the charge.
In the method of preparing the mixture to obtain a metallized product by the direct reduction of an oxide-containing material with a carbon-containing reducing agent, liquid glass is fed into the mixture as a silica-containing binder component in the following ratio of components: 60-70 weight. % iron-containing concentrate, 15-22 weight. % crushed brown coal and 10-22 weight. % liquid glass, and the temperature during drying of the agglomerates of the charge is maintained within 350-400 ° C (RF patent No. 2430979, C21B 1/243, 2011, [6]). The disadvantage of this method is the rather high flow rate of liquid glass, which indirectly leads to a significant increase in the mass of the slag component of the products of high-temperature firing, as well as a sufficiently high temperature for the preliminary heat treatment of the charge agglomerates, at which the carbon-containing reducing agent begins to lose volatile carbon-containing components (this applies especially to that used in this brown coal method). These shortcomings adversely affect the technical and economic indicators of the process.
By purpose, technical nature, the presence of similar features, this solution is selected as the closest analogue.
Liquid glass, as an industrial product, is used in the metallurgical industry as a binder component of various charge materials, improving the strength properties of the latter during molding (Babanin V.I., Eremin A.Ya., Bezdezhsky G.N.Development and implementation of a new technology for briquetting small-fraction liquid glass materials / Metallurg Magazine, No. 1, 2007, [7]). Nevertheless, the use of such a method of pelletizing raw materials as briquetting under pressure makes it possible to reduce the consumption of a binder made of liquid glass while maintaining the strength characteristics of molded briquettes at the required level (Lenev L.A. Development of a complex technology for producing red iron oxide pigment and iron ore briquettes from iron martito -hematite ores / Abstract of Diss., St. Petersburg, 2006, [8]). Since liquid glass is an aqueous solution of a complex compound of SiO 2 and Na 2 O, its use as a charge component in the metallization process of iron-containing raw materials in the claimed invention allows one to exhibit characteristic properties of a cohesion accelerator of a slag component (Na 2 O) and a substance that facilitates coalescence the resulting metal (SiO 2 ). An additional positive effect of the use of liquid glass in this case is an increase in the mechanical strength of the charge agglomerates.
The objective of the proposed technical solution is to increase the technical and economic indicators of the process of producing granular iron by reducing it from oxide raw materials in a furnace with a moving hearth.
The technical result is to optimize the composition of the briquetted mixture, intended for further high-temperature reduction firing to obtain granular iron, by reducing the consumption of complex bundles in the form of liquid glass due to the process of pelletizing the mixture under pressure, as well as a significant reduction in slag formation.

The proposed method for producing granular metallic iron is implemented as follows.
0,38.Example 1. The resulting mixture was briquetted in a mold with a pressing force of 600 kg / cm 2 . Next, the briquettes were dried at 300 ° C for 10 min. As a result, dry briquettes with a residual moisture content of 5% were obtained. The briquettes were oval in shape with a diameter of 35 mm and a height of 22 mm. The mass of dry briquettes was 25 g. Dry briquettes were tested for crushing strength. This indicator amounted to 35 kg / briquette.
