Abstract
Description
The invention relates to rocket technology, in particular to rockets with a non-fuel engine of solid fuel.
Масса меньшей части заряда составляет 2%-10% от общей массы заряда (патент RU 2517971, МПК F02K9/12, 2014 г.).Known non-particle solid-fuel rocket engine, which includes a combustion chamber (housing) with a front bottom, a cylindrical part and a rear end, as well as a charge attached to the combustion chamber with a central channel. The charge consists of two successive parts. Most of the charge is located at the front bottom and is made with a cylindrical central channel. A smaller part of the charge is located at the rear end of the combustion chamber, has a central channel, the passage area of which gradually increases towards the output section, and is made of fuel having a burning rate that is 30% ÷ 50% lower than the burning rate of most of the charge. The mass of the smaller part of the charge is 2% -10% of the total mass of the charge (patent RU 2517971, IPC F02K9 / 12, 2014).
However, the known non-fuelless solid fuel rocket engine is characterized by a number of disadvantages, namely, the specific thrust impulse has a reduced value due, firstly, to the formation of a “virtual nozzle” with a deviation from the shape of the correct truncated cone, which is preferred for engine operation, due to the use of charges from slow and fast burning fuels in the form of separate blocks; secondly, the presence of ballast, which is a body that is not involved in the energy of jet propulsion.
Thus, the authors were tasked to develop the design of a non-nozzle solid propellant rocket engine that provides increased specific thrust.
The problem is solved in the proposed non-propellant solid fuel rocket engine, comprising a housing having a front bottom, a cylindrical part and a rear end, a solid fuel charge, an end face of which the housing and a solid fuel charge are made integrally using 3D printing technology, wherein the igniter layer at least 100 μm thick is applied to the end contour of the solid fuel charge.
Al2Mg3.In this case, the housing of a non-nozzle solid fuel rocket engine can be made of an alloy based on aluminum, for example, Al 2 Mg 3 .
In this case, the charge of solid fuel of a non-nozzle solid propellant rocket engine can be made of mixed solid fuel, additionally containing a powder of metallic zirconium or aluminum modified with vanadium oxide or a rare-earth element.
Currently, from the patent and scientific and technical literature, the design of a non-nozzle solid fuel rocket engine is not known, in which the igniter layer is deposited on the end circuit of the solid fuel charge, while the casing is made of a material having an ignition temperature equal to the ignition temperature of the solid fuel charge material, in contact with the walls of the housing, and the housing and the charge of solid fuel are made as a whole using 3D printing technology.
In FIG. 1a is a diagram of a nozzle-free solid fuel rocket engine comprising a housing (1) made of a material having an ignition temperature equal to the ignition temperature of a solid fuel charge material in contact with the walls of the housing, for example, from an alloy based on aluminum Al 2 Mg 3 ; solid fuel charge (2), the end of which is made in the form of a truncated cone (4); the igniter (3), deposited with a layer of a thickness of at least 100 μm on the end circuit of the charge of solid fuel. The charge of solid fuel (2) can be made of mixed fuel, optionally containing a powder of metallic zirconium or aluminum, modified with vanadium oxide or a rare-earth element.
10-20%.In the proposed design, the use of 3D printing allows the casing and the charge of solid fuel to be made as a whole, while the manufacture of the casing from a material having a flash point equal to the ignition temperature of the solid fuel charge material ensures that, after the igniter is activated, the ignition of the solid fuel charge and the casing simultaneously ignites, which, along with with the implementation of the charge of solid fuel from a homogeneous composition of a material having a higher combustion temperature than in the known solution, and about ensuring uniform combustion in charge volume due to uniformity, it allows one to obtain a combustion front in the form of a “virtual nozzle” having the shape of a regular truncated cone, which does not change during the combustion of the charge, which causes an increase in the specific impulse of thrust by 5-10% and an increase in speed missile flight according to the Tsiolkovsky formula by 10-20%.
The proposed non-jet solid propellant rocket engine operates as follows. After the igniter is activated, applied with a layer of a thickness of at least 100 μm to the end circuit of the solid fuel charge, the charge ignites and at the same time the engine body (6) is ignited, made of a material having an ignition temperature equal to the ignition temperature of the solid fuel charge material (see Fig. 1b). In the case of manufacturing a body made of an alloy based on aluminum, for example, Al 2 Mg 3 , and a solid fuel charge from mixed fuel, additionally containing a powder of metal zirconium or aluminum, modified with vanadium oxide or a rare-earth element, the combustion temperature will be 3500-4000 ° С. In this case, the combustion products form a “virtual nozzle” (5) with the flow of combustion products, the temperature of which reaches 3500-4000 ° C due to the high energy efficiency of the solid fuel charge material containing a mixture of combustible fuel and energy-intensive metal fuel - metal zirconium or aluminum powder, modified with vanadium oxide or rare earth. As the solid fuel burns, the casing, being an active shell, also burns out, reducing the passive mass of the structure, contributing to an increase in the specific impulse of thrust and without violating the shape of the “virtual nozzle”.
Thus, the design proposed by the authors allows to obtain:
- в процессе горения "виртуальное сопло" в форме правильного усеченного конуса, форма которого не меняется с течением времени;- during combustion, a “virtual nozzle” in the form of a regular truncated cone, the shape of which does not change over time;
- снижение пассивной массы конструкции и увеличение энергетической эффективности;- reducing the passive mass of the structure and increasing energy efficiency;
- повышение температуры горения.- increase in combustion temperature.
As a result, as a result of using these advantages, an increase in the specific impulse of thrust and the speed of the rocket is achieved.
