Description

The invention relates to the field of veterinary pharmacology, in particular, to drugs intended for the prevention and treatment of postpartum endometritis in cows and heifers.

Known drug "Furapen" for the prevention and treatment of cow endometritis [1]. The product contains active ingredients: furacryline 7.0 ... 8.0%, carbocholine 0.025 ... 0.03% and a foaming base: boric acid 22.0 ... 27.0%, citric acid 4.0 ... 6.0%, sodium bicarbonate 18.0 ... 22.0%, starch 8.0 ... 12.0%, calcium stearate 0.45 ... 0.56%, polyethylene glycol-115 8.5 ... 11.5%, sodium dodecyl sulfate 0.88 ... 1, 05% and glucose - the rest.

The disadvantage of this drug is the lack of fungicidal action against fungi of the genera Candida spp., Mukorspp., And Aspergillusspp. while fungi play a large role in the development of inflammatory processes in the reproductive organs of cows and heifers, which subsequently lead to an increase in the duration of treatment and the number of foaming suppositories used to treat one animal [2], and the presence of the drug nitrofuran series furacrilin.

Nitrofuran series drugs can cause allergic reactions, arthralgia, myalgia, eosinophilia, bronchospasm, hepatitis, leukopenia and hemolytic anemia [3].

The purpose of the invention is to increase the therapeutic and prophylactic effectiveness of the drug by enhancing anti-inflammatory, bactericidal and severe fungicidal effects in postpartum endometritis of cows and heifers, as well as a uniform distribution of active substances in the drug by increasing the volume of foam.

This goal is achieved by the fact that to a foaming base consisting of sodium bicarbonate 36.0 ... 38.0 wt.%, Boric acid 24.5 ... 25.5 wt.%, Phthalic acid 12.0 ... 16.0 wt.%, calcium stearate 0.45 ... 0.55 wt.%, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose 5.5 ... 7.5 wt.%, sodium dodecyl sulfate 0.8 ... 1.0 wt.% and glucose 5.5 ... 10.8 wt.% used as a filler for the preparation of the drug, a thick fraction of the product of dry sublimation of hazel in the amount of 7.0 ... 9.0 wt.% and anaproline hydrochloride 0.025 ... 0.033 wt.% is added.

To substantiate the composition of the above drug, a microbial landscape was studied for three years with postpartum endometritis and vaginitis in cows and heifers.

A microbiological study of the contents of the female genital organs revealed various strains of opportunistic bacteria and fungi of the genera Candida spp., Mukorspp., And Aspergillusspp., Most of which turned out to be pathogenic and stood out in association.

Subsequently, the sensitivity of cows and first-calf pathogenic strains of bacteria and fungi isolated from the genital organs of patients with postpartum endometritis was determined to dense fractions of hazel, which is obtained by dry sublimation of chopped wood. It was found that this fraction has not only bactericidal, but also a pronounced fungicidal effect.

The drug is made as follows. The following ingredients are weighed and introduced into the electric mill: dried, thick fraction of hazel dry sublimation product, ananiline hydrochloride, glucose, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, sodium dodecyl sulfate and calcium stearate. Within one minute, grind and mix until smooth. Boric and phthalic acids, sodium bicarbonate are weighed and added to the resulting mass, and mechanical mixing is performed again.

The resulting mixture is transferred to a press hopper, where 10.0 masses are automatically measured and suppositories are obtained under pressure of 25 atmospheres for 1-2 seconds. Cream-colored suppositories have high storage stability and can be manufactured in the factory as a finished dosage form.

The finished product is placed in a plastic bag, provided with a label and hermetically closed.

The finished product is a cylindrical rod with a pointed end, 50 mm long and 13 mm in diameter.

The drug has a dense texture, cream color and a specific smell, it is easily soluble in water at a temperature of 37-39 ° C.

Storage of the proposed drug is carried out in a dry, dark place at room temperature for 6 months.

Each series of the prepared preparation is checked for the following indicators: appearance, color, smell, dissolution time, foam formation, foam stability, average weight, authenticity, bactericidal and fungicidal activity.

The proposed highly effective foaming suppositories facilitate the course of the inflammatory process, have a bactericidal and fungicidal effect in the postpartum endometritis of cows and heifers, do not have an irritating effect on the endometrium and enhance uterine motility. Due to these properties, they increase the therapeutic and prophylactic effectiveness of the treatment of postpartum endometritis of cows and heifers.
