Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of cultivation of commercial species of sea cucumbers - Holothuria atra (Holothuria atra class (Holothuria class Holothuroidea type ACIDIC echinodermata) and can be used for breeding rare, endangered, commercial species of holothuria, in the development of environmentally friendly water systems.
Currently, sea cucumbers are widely used in the food and pharmaceutical industries and in restoring the ecology of the aquatic environment.
To date, the holothurian class has over 1,100 species. They tirelessly work, maintaining the purity of the world's oceans. Crawling along the bottom at a snail's speed or making their way through silt rich in organic matter, they tirelessly eat loose organic sediment. Crawling slowly along the seabed, like vacuum cleaners, they clean the bottom of the water area from silt. They swallow the sediment to filter out organic matter and leave behind clean sand.
Some species of holothurians, especially from the genera Stychopus and Cucumaria, are eaten in the pharmaceutical industry under the name "trepangs." Demands for sea cucumbers are growing rapidly, while population growth is much slower. In this connection, the question is about the artificial propagation of sea cucumber.
Sea cucumber is an invertebrate animal of the echinoderm type. The skeleton is strongly reduced. The body of the trepang is vermiform; there is a mouth at one end, and an anus at the other. The mouth is surrounded by a corolla of 18-20 tentacles, serving to capture food, and leads into the long tubular intestine. The skin of the trepang is dense, elastic, contains numerous calcareous formations called spicules. In a thick leathery bag, which is the body, all internal organs are enclosed. The dorsal side carries soft conical outgrowths - dorsal papillas, collected in 4 rows. Life expectancy is 5-20 years.
The color of the dorsal side of the sea cucumber varies: from yellowish and dark greenish to brown or almost black. Dorsal trepang papillomas are whitish or brown. Tentacles from reddish and dark green to almost black. The ventral side is lighter than the dorsal, often greenish or brown.
Reproduction of holothurians, as a rule, occurs by external fertilization, after which the embryos freely descend to the seabed. The genital organ (gonad) is unpaired, in the form of a bundle of palm tubes. Fertilization of the egg and development of the embryo in most species is external. Some holothurians catch eggs with tentacles and attach to the dorsal side of the body; in rare cases, embryos develop in the body cavity. Holothuria with metamorphosis develops: floating larvae emerge from the eggs. The initial form of the larva, like all echinoderms, is represented by diplopleuria; three days later, it turns into auricularia, and then into a lobar. A number of species have other larval forms - vitellaria and pentactula. Larval age stages: dipleurula, auricularia, lobar, pentactula. Larvae swim in the water, constantly changing. To turn into a fry, the larva of the trepang must attach to the alfalfa algae. Fries live there until they grow up. However, in nature, under certain conditions that are uncomfortable for holothurians (for example, trauma), they multiply as follows: cucumbers eject internal organs and literally tear themselves apart in two parts, after which the missing organs grow back - this method is the closest technical solution to the claimed invention.
This method of asexual reproduction requires from each part a complete transformation of all tissues. Tissue recovery occurs due to the internal reserves of the remainder of the body.
The disadvantage of this method of reproduction is that this method of reproduction is rare, and if part of the cucumber torn away during division does not have a mouth opening, then this part most often dies, which reduces the number of reproduced cucumbers. With this method of reproduction, individuals of cucumbers grow weak and this individual is unsuitable for commercial use. The restoration of the qualitative properties of the organism of a sea cucumber to its former state occurs very slowly. Thus, the disadvantage of the known method of division is its complexity, large waste, poor viability of the offspring.
The aim of the invention is to increase the yield of marketable products, due to the reduction of trauma to sea cucumbers.
The technical result is to increase the survival of offspring while accelerating the course of the process of division of individuals and the recovery time of sea cucumbers.
The goal is achieved in that when selecting a sea cucumber from water, it stimulates the reproduction of sea cucumber by doubling the body by division, and as a stimulation, the cucumbers are dried in air for 1-10 minutes.
1EXAMPLE OF SPECIFIC EXECUTION No. 1
The commercial species of the sea cucumber Goloturia atra (Holothuria atra) (the class of Holoturia Holothuroidea is the type of echinoderm echinodermata) was used in experiments. Ten individuals were aged individually. Adult cucumbers were collected on the west coast of Fangan Island (Gulf of Thailand of the South China Sea, territorial waters of Thailand).
Prior to stimulation of asexual reproduction by dividing 40 adult N. atra bodies with a body length of 12-16 cm were kept in an aquarium with aerated and filtered fresh sea water for a day in order to achieve purification of the contents of their intestines. The experiment was held in June-August 2003 on the basis of a rented private seaside villa.
The results showed that soft fishing gum (round in cross section, 2 cm in diameter), flexible and harmless to the animal. All 40 individuals were dried for 1-10 min when the fan was running to stimulate reproduction, then placed in water. The bodies of each animal were pulled by fishing gum and placed for a day in a 200-liter aquarium with a small amount of sea water for relaxation. Sea cucumbers pulled in the middle of the body in the transverse direction. Tightened cucumbers were aged in small buckets filled with fresh, filtered and aerated seawater, so that the water could barely cover the body of the cucumber (imitation of the low tide). Feed animals began after the completion of morphological recovery. When a new anus and a new mouth began to appear, the animals were resettled in cages in the sea bay.
2EXAMPLE OF SPECIFIC EXECUTION No. 2
The operation and conditions of the experiment are the same as in example 1, except that 30 individuals were kept together in an aquarium.
It is important to emphasize that when a tug forms a wound, evisceration (ejection of internal organs into the external environment) is inevitable. If the tug of war did not entail a wound, the success of the division was at least 90% of the surviving individuals in both groups. Usually, the division process took from 8 hours to 3 days. Signs of regeneration appeared two weeks after division.
The proposed division method allows to achieve doubling of the stocks of sea cucumber during industrial cultivation on plantations with minimal losses.
The method of stimulation of reproduction indicated in the first example is not the only one, because any uncomfortable content contributes to the division of individuals of sea cucumber.
The advantages of the method are (technical result of the invention):
а) получение неограниченного количества жизнеспособного потомства;a) obtaining an unlimited number of viable offspring;
б) высокий темп получения потомства за счет деления внутренних органов морского огурца;b) a high rate of procreation due to the division of the internal organs of a sea cucumber;
в) особь морского огурца начинает старт роста с крупных размеров 5-7 см, что уменьшает угрозу хищничества по сравнению с личиночной и ювенильной стадией потомства;c) an individual of a sea cucumber starts growth from a large size of 5-7 cm, which reduces the risk of predation in comparison with the larval and juvenile stages of offspring;
г) дешевизна метода.d) the cheapness of the method.
This method is intended for the effective implementation of measures to compensate for damage to the water area in connection with the violation of the marine ecology and can be used not only for breeding sea cucumbers, but also for breeding commercial and rare endangered species of individuals of this species, in studying their breeding mechanism, as well as to improve the ecology of water areas.
