Abstract
Description
The object of the invention is a method of connecting a printed circuit board with a supporting structure, which can be used in the electrical, radio, electronic industries in the production of a variety of electrical devices and electronic equipment, in particular in the manufacture of lighting equipment using LEDs.
A known method of connecting a terminal to a supporting structure, which includes making through holes in the terminal and the supporting structure, combining the obtained holes, connecting the terminal and the supporting structure using a fastener installed in the holes (patent ES 245957, IPC
The disadvantage of this method is the impossibility of its use for electrical connection of two different contacts of the printed circuit board, for example, to supply voltage.
The closest analogue of the claimed technical solution is a known method of connecting a printed circuit board with a supporting structure, comprising making through holes in the printed circuit board and the supporting structure, combining the holes obtained, mechanically connecting the printed circuit board and the supporting structure using a mounting element made of conductive material installed in the holes , and the electrical connection of at least one conductive layer of the printed circuit board with a conductive layer of the supporting structure tion through a fastener (patent GB 2219443, IPC
This method, in contrast to the one described above, provides an electrical connection to a printed circuit board having two different contacts for connection. The electrical contact of the first screw with one conductive layer of the flexible plate is carried out by combining the surface of the conductive layer with a washer pressed against the screw head. The electrical contact of the second screw with another conductive layer of the flexible plate is carried out by combining the surface of this layer with a foil gasket, which in turn contacts the threaded part of the screw. The electrical contact of both screws with the pads of the supporting structure is carried out by combining them with washers pressed against the nuts.
The disadvantage of this method is the excessive complexity, low technology and low reliability of the electrical connection.
The excessive complexity of the method is due to the fact that for its implementation it is necessary to use two screws (or other fasteners), which increases the number of technological operations, and also increases the mass of the assembly for the assembly of which the method is used.
The low reliability of the electrical connection is due to the small contact area of the threaded part of one of the screws with a gasket made of foil. The area of contact is limited by the thickness of the gasket and the area of the top of the ridge on the threaded part of the screw, which is in direct contact with the gasket. Insignificant mechanical load of the connected electrical components or thermal expansion leads to a violation of the electrical connection between the threaded part of the screw and the gasket.
The low technological level of the known method is due to the use of a dielectric plate with one conductive layer located on one side of the supporting structure as a supporting structure. At the same time, the other, opposite, side of the supporting structure is not used to sum up the electrical signals.
The objective of the invention is to simplify the method of mechanical and electrical connection of the printed circuit board with the supporting structure and at the same time increase the reliability of the electrical connection.
The problem is achieved in that in the known method of connecting a printed circuit board with a supporting structure, comprising making through holes in the printed circuit board and the supporting structure, combining the holes obtained, mechanically connecting the printed circuit board and the supporting structure using a mounting element made of conductive material installed in the holes , and the electrical connection of at least one conductive layer of the printed circuit board with the conductive layer of the supporting structure by means of a cre a bearing element according to the invention, the supporting structure is made in the form of a dielectric plate with two conductive layers opposite to it, and the electrical connection of the conductive layer of the supporting structure and the conductive layer of the printed circuit board facing each other is performed by pressing these surfaces.
A variant is possible in which the oppositely arranged conductive layers of the supporting structure are solid, and the mounting of the fastener in the holes is carried out by isolating it from the conductive layer of the supporting structure and the conductive layer of the printed circuit in contact with it.
A variant is possible in which the isolation of the fastener is carried out by removing around the holes part of the conductive layer of the supporting structure.
A variant is possible in which the fastening element is insulated by covering it with a dielectric, while the length of the area covered by the dielectric is determined by the ratio:
(SPCB+m)<А<(SPCB+S),(S PCB + m) <A <(S PCB + S),
гдеWhere
SPCB - толщина печатной платы;S PCB - thickness of the printed circuit board;
m - толщина токопроводящего слоя несущей конструкции;m is the thickness of the conductive layer of the supporting structure;
S - толщина несущей конструкции;S is the thickness of the supporting structure;

A variant is possible in which the pressing of the conductive layer of the supporting structure facing each other and the conductive layer of the printed circuit board is performed with preliminary placement of an intermediate conductive layer between them.
A variant is possible in which a metal washer is used as an intermediate layer.
A variant is possible in which an LED is mounted on a printed circuit board.
A variant is possible in which the conductive layers of the supporting structure are made of aluminum.
A variant is possible in which the conductive layer of the printed circuit board facing the supporting structure is made of aluminum.
The technical result of the invention is to increase the reliability of the electrical connection between the printed circuit board and the supporting structure due to the presence of two opposing conductive layers in the supporting structure, which makes it possible to bring one of the electrical potentials to the printed circuit board by directly combining one conductive layer facing each other and the conductive layer of the circuit board. As a result of such a combination, a contact area of a considerable size is formed, which in turn allows minimizing the influence on factors such as mechanical load and thermal expansion on the reliability of the electrical connection. An additional increase in the reliability of the electrical connection is achieved by placing between the conductive layer of the printed circuit board and the conductive layer in contact with it the supporting structure of the intermediate layer of conductive material, such as gaskets or washers.
Compared with the closest analogue, it becomes possible to reduce the mass of the assembly resulting from the connection of the printed circuit board with the supporting structure, since there is no need to use two fasteners to ensure electrical connection.
The use of a supporting structure with continuous conductive layers allows you to install a printed circuit board on it anywhere without the need for separate contact pads or tracks. Insulation of the fastening element necessary in this case avoids a short circuit. In addition, due to the large surface area, the conductive layers of the supporting structure have a low electrical resistance, which allows you to connect a large number of printed circuit boards with a significant current consumption (for example, boards with installed high-power LEDs).
It becomes possible to reduce the number of technological operations necessary for the implementation of the method, due to the use of rivets as a fastener.
In the case of using an exhaust rivet, the process of connecting the printed circuit board and the supporting structure is greatly facilitated, it becomes possible to carry out all technological operations on only one side of the supporting structure, which allows you to quickly carry out the connection process even if the supporting structure is placed in hard-to-reach places.
The use of an intermediate layer of conductive material can reduce the effects of the formation of a galvanic pair between adjacent conductive layers (for example, when they are made of copper and aluminum).
The implementation of the conductive layers of the supporting structure and the printed circuit board from aluminum allows avoiding the creation of a galvanic pair when using rivets as a fastener (the vast majority of rivets are made of aluminum), to improve the heat transfer of the assembly resulting from the connection of the printed circuit board with the supporting structure.
