Abstract

Description

FIELD OF TECHNOLOGY

The present invention relates to rigid packaging for tobacco products, in particular for tobacco products in the form of a set of cigarettes wrapped in an inner wrapping material, typically a metal foil.

BACKGROUND

Packages of this type are formed from pre-bent flat blanks cut with a stamp. Packages contain a container with a hinged lid mounted on the rear edge of the container to close its open upper end, and a rigid frame located partially inside the container and protruding from it, forming an element by which the lid is held securely in the closed position.

If such a package with a hinged lid has already been opened, then there are still cigarettes that will be consumed in the package, the lid is quite difficult to keep well closed, despite the fact that the rigid frame usually has retaining elements along the ribs.

Therefore, cigarettes will not be well insulated from the external environment, which is exacerbated by the fact that the inner wrapping material is already partially removed. As a result, cigarettes lose their flavor, and penetrating moisture degrades their quality.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The aim of the invention is the creation of packaging for tobacco products, which does not have this drawback and combines the strength of the packaging with a hinged lid with optimal protection of tobacco products during the period of their consumption.

According to the invention, the goal is achieved using rigid packaging for tobacco products described in the claims.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

1-6, the numeral 1 denotes the entire packaging for tobacco products in the form of a set of 2 cigarettes 3 (see FIGS. 3 and 4) wrapped in an inner foil wrapper 4 according to the first embodiment of the invention.

The package 1 has a substantially parallelepiped shape with a longitudinal axis A parallel to the axes of the cigarettes 3, and contains an inner box or bag 5 and an outer box or case 6.

The inner box 5 is essentially a bag with a hinged lid and comprises a container 7 and a lid 8 connected to it via a first hinge line 9 transverse to axis A.

The container 7 has four longitudinal walls, which are two pairs of parallel walls, of which the front wall 10 and the rear wall 11 (Fig.6) are connected to each other by two side walls 12. The space bounded by these four walls is closed at one end with the bottom wall 13.

The opposite end of the container 7 is closed by a lid 8 having an upper end wall 14 parallel to the lower end wall 13, a rear wall 15 located in the same plane as the rear wall 11 of the container, to which it is connected along the first hinge line 9, and two side walls 16 are triangular in shape, each of which is located in the same plane as the corresponding side wall 12 of the container 7.

The lid 8 can be rotated around the hinge line 9 and Fig. 1 is shown in a closed position in which the free edges of its side walls 16 and the upper wall 14 are in contact with the corresponding free edges of the side walls 12 and the front wall 10 of the container 7.

The outer box or case 6 has a rectangular main or rear wall 17 (Fig.6), two longitudinal walls 18 and two walls 19 located transverse to the longitudinal axis A. Walls 18 and 19 are connected to the rear wall 17 at its four edges.

The outer box 6 forms a niche 20 (Fig.6) for inserting the package 5 so that the rear wall 11 of the package is in contact with the rear wall 17 of the outer box, the lower wall 13 of the package is in contact with one of the transverse walls 19, the upper end wall 14 of the bag is in contact with the other transverse wall 19, and the side walls 12 of the bag are in contact with the longitudinal walls 18 of the outer box.

The depth of the outer box or case 6, measured across the side walls 12, is essentially equal to the depth of the package 5.

The bag 5 is pivotally attached along the rib connecting the front wall 10 to the lower end wall 13 to the free edge of the corresponding transverse wall 19 of the outer box 6, forming the second hinge line 21. Thus, the bag 5 can rotate around this rib from the first, fully inserted, the position shown in FIG. 1 to a second position in which it is partially extended from a niche and the package 1 is fully open (see FIG. 4), and vice versa.

Between the longitudinal walls 18 of the outer box 6 and the side walls 12 of the package 5, there is a connection and restriction means 22 that allows the package 5 to rotate around the second hinge line 21 by a predetermined angle. The means 22 includes a pair of reeds 23 formed by a cut 24 on each side wall 12 and protruding with their free ends to the front wall 10 of the package. Each tongue 23 serves to interact with the corresponding contour edge of the folded limiter 25 formed on the inner surface of the corresponding longitudinal wall 18, resulting in a limited rotation of the package 5 around the second hinge line 21, as shown in Fig.4.

Between the upper wall 14 of the lid 8 and the corresponding transverse wall 19 of the case 6, there is a second connecting means 26, which automatically tilts the lid 8 when the package 5 is rotated from the niche of the case 6. The second connecting means 26 contains one tongue 27 formed by a cut 28 and protruding from the free edge the transverse wall 19 to the rear wall 17 of the case 6, and two slots 29 and 30, made in the upper wall 14 and the rear wall 15 of the cover 8, respectively.

The slots 29 and 30 serve to form a jumper 31, coinciding with the rib along which two walls 14 and 15 of the lid are connected.

As shown in FIG. 5, when the bag 5 is rotated and pushed out of the outer box 6, the tongue 27 enters the slots 29 and 30 and slides into them, while it engages with the jumper 31, forcing the lid 8 to rotate around the corresponding hinge line 9 clockwise if you look at figure 5.

As can be seen in FIGS. 2 and 6, the main rear wall 17 of the case 6 has a round hole 32 through which access to the rear wall 11 of the bag 5 is possible. Due to this, the bag 5 can be easily pulled out of the case, which will cause the cover 8 to open automatically.

The packaging shown in FIG. 7 differs from the packaging shown in FIG. 1 in that the package 5 does not have a hinged cover 8, and its function is performed by the upper transverse wall 19 and part of the rear wall 17 of the outer box 6.

In the example shown in FIG. 7, the bag 5 is pulled out of the niche 20 with a tongue 33 attached to the front wall 10, and not by pressing on the back wall of the bag through the hole 32. If you apply this solution to the bag shown in FIG. 1 -6, then the hinged cover 8 will automatically open in the same way.

In yet another embodiment of the package (not shown), the hinged lid 8 may also have a conventional design with a front wall located in the same plane as the front wall 10 of the bag, but the two side walls 16 may have a trapezoidal shape instead of a triangular shape.

8 and 9, the numbers 5 'and 6' indicate two flat blanks of wrapping material, from which, by successive folding and folding operations, they form an inner box or bag 5 and an outer box or case 6.

The elements of the blanks 5 'and 6' below are indicated by the same digital positions as the corresponding elements of the boxes 5 and 6.

The blank 5 ′ shown in FIG. 8 has a substantially rectangular contour and is divided into several sections by parallel fold lines extending transversely to the longitudinal axis A ′.

Along the longitudinal axis A 'are two sections 10' and 11 ', forming respectively the front wall 10 and the rear wall 11 of the package, and located between them section 13', forming the lower end wall 13.

Section 10 'is connected along a fold line remote from the intermediate section 13' with a valve 10 '', which will subsequently be folded twice and spread over the surface of section 10 '.

Section 10 'is connected by its longitudinal sides along respective fold lines with two side sections 12'.

Similarly, section 11 ′ is connected by its longitudinal sides along respective fold lines with two side sections 12 ″.

Sections 12 'and 12' 'will be superimposed one on top of the other and fastened to form the side walls 12 of the inner box 5.

Section 11 'is separated by a fold line 9', coinciding with the hinge line 9 of the lid, from another section 15 ', which, in turn, is separated by a corresponding fold line from the end section 14'.

Two sections 15 'and 14' form the rear wall 15 and the upper wall 14 of the cover 8, respectively.

The opposite ends of the section 15 'are connected to two triangular valves 16', separated from it by the corresponding bending lines and located along an axis located transverse to the longitudinal axis A '. The triangular valves 16 'are separated from the corresponding side sections 12' 'by oblique cuts and coincide with the side walls 16 of the cover 8.

The two ends of the side sections 12 ″, remote from the triangular valves 16 ′, are connected by corresponding fold lines with two valves 34, which serve to connect the side walls 12 and the lower end wall 13 of the inner box 5.

Similarly, two triangular valves 16 'are connected by respective fold lines with two valves 35, which are used to connect the upper wall 14 and the rear wall 15 of the cover 8.

In the side sections 12 ″, cuts 24 ′ are made for the formation of tongues 23 ′, which are part of the aforementioned means 22 for connecting and restricting movement.

Sections 15 'and 14' have corresponding slots 29 'and 30' forming part of the connecting means 26 shown in Fig.6.

The blank 6 ′ shown in FIG. 9 is divided into several sections by parallel fold lines transverse to the longitudinal axis A ″.

The central rectangular section 17 'having a circular hole 32' is connected by longitudinal fold lines coinciding with its longitudinal sides, with two side sections 18 ', and transverse fold lines coinciding with its transverse sides, with two sections 19'.

The central section 17 'corresponds to the rear wall 17 of the outer box 6, and the adjacent sections 18' and 19 'correspond to the longitudinal walls 18 and the transverse walls 19 of the outer box, respectively.

The lateral sections 18 'are connected along the respective longitudinal fold lines with the corresponding end sections 25', which will subsequently be folded twice and straightened over the surface of each section 18 'to stiffen the longitudinal walls 18 and, due to the defined contour of their longitudinal edges, to form stops 25, mating with the reeds 23 means 22 of the connection and restriction of movement.

Section 36 connected to the upper transverse section 19 'along the corresponding fold line serves as a stiffening element for the corresponding transverse wall 19 and has a cut 28' to form a tongue 27 ', which when opening the package 1 will interact with the jumper 31 formed by the cutouts 29 and 30 in the cover 8. The tongue 27 'and the cutouts 29 and 30 form the aforementioned connecting means 26.

The blank 6 'also includes a valve 37 of a substantially trapezoidal shape connected to the lower transverse section 19' along the fold line 21 'coinciding with the second hinge line 21. This valve will be glued to the bottom of the container 7 and thereby connect the outer box 6 to the inner box 5.

Two valves 38 are connected to the ends of each longitudinal section 18 'along respective fold lines, with the help of which the longitudinal walls 18 and the transverse walls 19 of the outer box 6 will be connected.

The main advantage of the described package 1 is that after it is closed, while cigarettes remain in it, it retains good air tightness, since when the bag 5 is inserted into the niche 20, the lid 8 will be in the closed position.

Another advantage is the automatic opening of the hinged lid 8 when removing the package 5 from the niche 20.

In addition, savings in manufacturing can be achieved if at least one longitudinal rib is rounded or cut in the bag 5 or case 6.

Although the above description and drawings relate to a package 1 comprising an outer box or case 6 and an inner box or packet of 5 cigarettes, with or without a hinged lid, as shown in FIG. 1, and with sharp the ribs on the case 6 and on the bag 5, according to the invention, the package may have an inner and outer box of another type (not shown), in which at least some of the longitudinal and / or transverse ribs are rounded or cut. For example, longitudinal ribs may be rounded or cut, or (for a cigarette bag described in EP 0764595), long transverse ribs (connecting transverse wall 19 and rear wall 17 of case 6 and connecting upper wall 14 and can be rounded and cut) back side 11 of the package 5). Alternatively, some longitudinal ribs and some transverse ribs may be rounded or chamfered. Thus, both longitudinal and transverse ribs can be made with a rounded or obtuse-angled profile instead of a rectangular one.

In yet another embodiment of the invention (not shown), the outer case 6 and the inner package 5 may be in the form of a cigarette package described in EP 1066206. In this case, the rear wall 17 of the case 6 and the main walls 10 and 11 of the package 5 are convex. Each of them has a flat central part and two pre-bent curved side parts that pass on one side to a flat central part, and on the other side are connected to the sides of the case at an obtuse angle.

Claims (10)

1. Rigid packaging for tobacco products, having essentially a parallelepiped shape, characterized in that it contains
an inner box or bag (5) having four walls parallel to the longitudinal axis (A) and including a front wall (10), a rear wall (11) and two side walls (12), and at least one end wall (13) located across the longitudinal axis (A),
and an outer box or case (6) having a rectangular rear wall (17), two longitudinal walls (18) and two transverse walls (19), rigidly connected to the rear wall (17) on its four sides with the formation of a niche (20) in in the form of a parallelepiped, for inserting the inner box (5) so that the back wall (11) of the inner box is in contact with the back wall (17) of the outer box, the end wall (13) of the inner box is in contact with the corresponding transverse wall (19) outer box, and two side walls (12) of the inner box n are in contact with the longitudinal walls (18) of the outer box;
moreover, the inner box (5) is pivotally attached along one rib coinciding with the connection line of the front wall (10) with the end wall (13) to the corresponding transverse wall (19) of the outer box (6) and due to this it can rotate relative to the outer box (6 ) around a rib functioning as a hinge (21), between a first position in which the inner box is inserted into the outer box and a second position in which the inner box is partially extended from the outer box,
the inner box (5) is a bag with a hinged lid (8) and has two end walls (13, 14), one of which corresponds to its lower wall (13), and the other to the upper wall (14) of the lid (8), and the upper wall (14) is connected to the connecting means (26) acting between this wall (14) and the corresponding transverse wall (19) of the outer box (6) so that the extension of the inner box (5) from the outer (6) causes the lid to open automatically (8), and the cover (8) has an upper wall (14), a rear wall (15), which coincides with the end part of the rear wall nki (11) of the inner box, and two side walls (16) of a triangular shape, each coinciding with the end part of the corresponding side wall (12) of the inner box. 2. The package according to claim 1, also containing means (22) for connecting and restricting movement acting between the side walls (12) of the inner box (5) and the corresponding longitudinal walls (18) of the outer box (6) so that the inner box (5 ) can be rotated around the hinge (21) by a predetermined angle. 3. The package according to claim 1 or 2, in which the main or rear wall (17) of the outer box (6) has an opening (32) for access to the back wall (11) of the inner box (5). 4. Packaging according to claim 1 or 2, in which the front wall (10) of the inner box (5) contains a tab (33), pulling which you can remove the inner box (5) from the outer box (6). 5. A rigid packaging for tobacco products according to claim 1, in which the outer box (6) and the inner box (5) are formed respectively from the first flat preform (6 ') and the second flat preform (5'), at least one of of these two blanks (6 ', 5') has a valve (37) that serves to connect the first and second boxes (5, 6) to each other. 6. The package according to claim 5, in which the valve (37) is located at the end of the first workpiece (6 ') and connected to it along the fold line (21'), which serves to create the hinge (21). 7. The package according to claim 6, in which the first preform (6 ') has a substantially rectangular contour with the largest dimension along the longitudinal axis (A'') and contains:
- several longitudinal fold lines and transverse fold lines defining the center section (17 ') forming the rear side (17) of the outer box, two longitudinal sections (18') forming the longitudinal walls (18), and two transverse sections (19 ') forming transverse walls (19);
- two end sections (25 '), each of which is connected to one of the longitudinal sections (18') and folded to form a stop (25), which, when using the package, serves to limit the angle of rotation of the inner box (5) around the second hinge (21 );
- valves (38) connected to the ends of each longitudinal section (18 ') and used to connect the longitudinal walls (18) with the transverse walls (19). 8. The package according to claim 7, in which the first preform (6 ') also contains an upper end section (36') connected to the transverse section (19 '), remote from the transverse section connected to the end valve (37), and having section (28 ') to obtain the tongue (27') forming the connecting means (26). 9. Packaging according to any one of paragraphs.5-7, in which the second preform (5 ') has a substantially rectangular contour with the largest size along the longitudinal axis (A') and contains:
- several longitudinal and transverse fold lines defining a section (10 ') corresponding to the front wall (10) of the inner box, a section (11') corresponding to the back wall (11) of the inner box, and a section (13 ') located between the sections ( 10 ', 11') forming the front wall (10) and the rear wall (11), and the corresponding end wall (13) of the inner box;
- longitudinal sections (12 ', 12''), respectively connected to sections (10', 11 ') corresponding to the front wall (10) and the rear wall (11), and arranged to overlap with the formation of side walls ( 12) the inner box (5);
- tongues (23 ') formed by cuts (24') in the longitudinal sections (12 '') connected to one section (11 ') of the workpiece and forming means (22) for connecting and restricting movement;
- a valve (10``) connected to the free end of the section (10 ') corresponding to the front wall (10) of the inner box, so that it can be folded twice and expanded on this section (10'). 10. The package of claim 8, in which the section (11 ') forming the back wall (11) of the inner box is separated by a fold line (9'), functioning as a hinge line (9) of the lid (8), from the section (15 ' ), which, in turn, is separated by a fold line from the end section (14 '), and the opposite ends of the section (11') have two triangular valves (16 '), located so that they are together with the sections (15', 14 ' ) form the back wall (15), the end wall (14) and the side walls (16) of the cover (8), and the two sections (15 ', 14') have corresponding cutouts (29 ', 30'), which in combination with the tongue (27) form soy extension means (26), and triangular valves (16 ') have corresponding valves (35), which function as connecting elements between the end wall (14) and the back wall (15) of the cover (8).
