Abstract
Description
The invention relates to veterinary medicine, specifically to methods for treating sheep psoroptosis and preparations for its implementation.
Известен способ лечения псороптоза овец с применением фосфорорганических препаратов (например, неоцидола)[1].There is a method of treating sheep psoroptosis using organophosphorus preparations (eg, neocidol) [1].
Известен способ лечения псороптоза овец с применением синтетических пиретроидов (например, перметрина, дельтаметрина).A known method of treating sheep psoroptosis using synthetic pyrethroids (e.g. permethrin, deltamethrin).
[2].A known method of treating sheep psoroptosis using creolin obtained from oil, the active principle of which are sulfur compounds found in oils of various fields [2].
However, the content of sulfur preparations and their effectiveness varies in different oils, which does not allow to achieve a permanent therapeutic effect in sheep psoroptosis and makes it necessary to introduce active substances of other classes into the composition of creolin preparations.
The aim of the invention is to develop a method for the treatment of sheep psoroptosis using a creolin-containing preparation in which organic sulfur derivatives are added.
This goal is achieved by the fact that sulfur-containing organic substances are added to the creole as an active substance, and inorganic sulfur, tetramethylthiuram disulfide and vegetable oils processed according to the following method are used to obtain these substances: a mixture of 90 g of vegetable oil, 8 g of sulfur, 2 g of tetramethylthiuram disulfide (TMTD) is heated in a water bath at 95-100 ° C, with stirring for 1 hour. During this time, the dissolution of sulfur and TMTD occurs, with the subsequent cooling of the precipitate is not formed. During heat treatment, a chemical reaction occurs with the participation of sulfur, TMTD and double bonds present in the residues of fatty acids of any vegetable oil, with the formation of substances of the following structure:
, , , ,
где n=1, 2, 3, a R представляет собой фрагменты жирных кислот, имеющихся в растительном масле.where n = 1, 2, 3, a R are fragments of fatty acids found in vegetable oil.
The resulting homogeneous mass is mixed with creolin in a ratio of 1: 1 by weight and used as an active substance in the treatment of sheep psoroptosis.
The drug can be stored for 3 years (observation period) without the formation of a precipitate of sulfur, which indicates its complete chemical binding to organic matter.
For the treatment of sheep with psoroptosis, a 0.1% emulsion of the drug in water is used.
Psoroptes ovis. So, in one of the experiments, in a herd of 16 sheep, four sheep showed signs of scabies. Microscopic examination of skin scrapings from places of “faces” revealed Psoroptes ovis scabies mites.
Sick animals were treated with 0.1% emulsion of the drug (conventional name "Akarizol") in water by bathing at a water temperature in the bath tub + 25 ° C and exposure for at least 1 minute. On the second and subsequent days, physiological deviations and changes in behavioral reactions in sheep were not found. Itching and scratching stopped during the first days after treatment. In order to prevent the spread of scabies, all animal groups were treated in a similar way. After that, animals were monitored for 1 year. For the entire period of observation of relapse of the disease is not detected. During this period, 9 ewes lulled (3 of them twins), bringing healthy offspring.
Thus, the tested preparation "Akarizol" has a pronounced anti-scabrous effect, does not have a toxic and embryotoxic effect at a concentration of 0.1% of ADV.
