Abstract

FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: proposed door with a frame and fixed to the frame by an insulating glass cover consists of at least, one outer glass and one inner glass. The frame consists of a metal outer part of the frame, fixed to the outer glass, adjacent the inner glass, the inner part of the frame and rigidly joining both parts of the frame to the heat insulating element. The inner part of the frame, heat insulating element and the outer part of the frame adjacent to each other from inside out, in a plane parallel the inner glass.

Description

Technical field

The present invention relates to a door, in particular to a door for a household item equipped with heat-insulating glazing.

State of the art

A refrigerator with insulating door glazing is known, for example, from USA-A-5622414. The door of this refrigerator mainly consists of two glass plates, the distance between which is fixed by spacers. The outer plate in the edge zone protrudes a certain distance above the inner plate to leave room for a hinge with which the door pivots upward. In this boundary zone, the spacer element also extends beyond the edge of the inner plate, forming a contact surface for screwing the hinge plate. Since the hinge plate and the spacer element, as a rule, have to be made of metal in order to ensure mechanical strength, the thermal insulation of the door in this boundary zone is unsatisfactory. Therefore, there is a risk of dew formation, i.e. condensation from the outside of this poorly insulated portion of the door, which can cause damage if moisture is not removed.

Of course, dew deposition can be prevented by electric heating using a wire heater located on the surface of the outer glass plate, but such heating, on the one hand, increases the cost of manufacturing the apparatus, and, on the other hand, enhanced heat supply in the place of weakened thermal insulation leads to increase the power consumption of the device, and thereby to increase operating costs.

From US Pat. No. 5,588,421, a heat-insulated door for a household item is known with the features of the preamble of claim 1. This door contains a sheet metal frame into which the front glass plate is flush-mounted from the outside, and a smaller inner plate is inserted into the hole cut into the frame. Although this door is described mainly as a door for an oven, it can also be used for a refrigerator. But if such a door is, in fact, used in the refrigerator, then a problem will arise here, due to the fact that the thermal conductivity of the frame adjacent to the cooling zone of the refrigerator will cause dew to fall on the open outer surfaces of the frame.

Disclosure of invention

The objective of the invention is to create a door for household items with insulating glazing over a large area with good thermal insulation, especially suitable for use in refrigerators.

This problem is solved by the door with the features of paragraph 1 of the claims. By dividing the frame into the outer part of the frame in which the outer glass is installed, the inner part of the frame, which, when installed in the refrigerator, together with the inner glass, closes its inner cavity, and the heat-insulating element located between them, the heat-insulating properties of the frame are significantly improved, preventing the formation of dew.

In one preferred embodiment of the invention, the frame does not extend beyond the edge of the outer glass, so that when you look at the door from the front, it is not visible, and it seems that the door consists mainly of the outer glass.

The frame is connected to the outer glass, preferably with glue. In order to make such gluing or attaching the outer glass to the frame invisible in another way, the outer glass, at least from the edge, is provided with an opaque decorative frame. In order to protect this frame from damage, it is preferably applied to the surface of the outer glass facing the inner glass.

So that air from the inner cavity of the household item cannot penetrate the outer glass, the gap between the inner glass and the frame is preferably filled with an elastic sealing tape. It is advisable to lay this sealing tape between the inner glass and the inner part of the frame.

As a heat-insulating element, it is preferable to use a profiled plastic element, which with a geometric closure is included in at least the grooves of the outer part of the frame. To ensure a reliable connection of part of the frame with the insulating element, the grooves are at least partially performed with an undercut.

A particularly good insulating effect is achieved when a heat-insulating element with a hollow profile is used.

A flexible profiled seal that is supposed to provide an airtight seal to the closed door mounted on the household item relative to the housing of this household item and thereby seal its internal cavity is preferably located in the frame groove defined by at least the inside of the frame and the heat insulating element .

A good insulating effect in combination with a small door thickness can be achieved if the inner part of the frame, the heat insulating element and the outer part of the frame are adjacent to each other from the inside out, not only in the direction of the door thickness, but primarily in the transverse direction, in a plane parallel to the inner glass .

The implementation of the invention

Figure 1 shows a perspective image of a cabinet for storing bottles as an example of a refrigerator with a door made in accordance with the invention. The housing 1 of the cabinet for storing bottles can be made in the form of a separate item, or, as shown here, can be designed to be embedded in furniture. While in most built-in refrigerators, the front side of the door in the built-in state is closed by a furniture panel, the door 2 of the apparatus shown here is designed to remain visible in the built-in state.

The outer side of the door is formed by a glass plate 3 glued to the rear side of the metal frame 4. Two hinge holders 5 rigidly connected to the body 1 are adjacent to the frame 4, of which only the upper one is visible in the drawing. The inner glass plate 6 (see figure 2 or 3), the edges of which are surrounded by a frame 4, together with the outer glass plate 3 forms an insulating glazing. Through it, the internal cavity of the housing 1 is visible, in which a number of bottle holders 7 are located, interconnected by front and rear straps 8 and liners 9 having the shape of cylindrical segments suspended between the holders.

The handle 10 mounted on the outer glass plate 3 is screwed to the frame 4 through two holes in the glass plate 3.

Figure 2 shows a section along the edge of the door in accordance with the first structural embodiment of the invention. The outer glass plate 3 is connected here by a layer of glue 11 with the outer part 12 of the frame. The outer part 12 of the frame is formed by four extruded profiled elements, for example, aluminum, located at the edges of the outer plate 3. The edges of the outer glass plate 3 are edged here by the protrusion 13 of the outer part 12 of the frame, which closes flush with the outer side of the glass plate 3, protecting its edge from damage. A protective profiled aluminum element 14 is mounted externally on the edge of the glass plate 3 and the outer part 12 of the frame. In two shelves of the profiled element 14, having a U-shaped cross section, two protrusions 15, 16 directed inward are provided. The protrusion 15 is elastically pressed against the outer side of the glass plate 3, and the other protrusion 16 pops into the groove on the inner side of the outer part 12 of the frame.

On the side of the outer part 12 of the frame opposite the protective profiled element 14, there are two grooves 17 cut from the sides, into which the jumpers 18 are geometrically and power-locked. The two jumpers 18 form a rigid connection with the inner part 19 of the frame, which also has grooves 17 with the jumpers 18 included. The inner glass plate 6 is connected at the edges to the inner part 19 of the frame by a layer of glue 21. Thus, the inner glass plate 6 is rigidly connected to the outer glass plate 3 through the parts 12, 19 of the frame and the tabs 18, and the layer of air locked in the gap 22 located between them provides effective insulation on most of the surface of the door 2. At the edges of the door 2, thermal insulation is provided mainly by jumpers 18 that create significant thermal resistance, partly due to the small cross-sectional area , and partly due to the fact that they are made of poorly heat-conducting plastic. Another circumstance that enhances the heat-insulating effect is that the inner part 19 of the frame and the outer part 12 of the frame are hollow profiled elements, heat transfer in which is possible mainly only along the walls.

The direct contact of cold air from the internal cavity of the refrigerator with the jumpers 18 is prevented by an elastic seal 23, which enters the gap 24 formed by the jumpers 18 between the frame parts 12, 19, and is fixed there, and which is filled in a known manner on the side opposite to the fastening with ferromagnetic material so that when the door is closed, it is pressed against the front side of the housing 1 under the action of magnetic attraction. The inner part 19 of the frame blocks the seal 23 from the inner cavity of the refrigerator, to which cold air from there can only penetrate into a narrow intermediate space 25 between the seal 23 and the inner part 19 of the frame.

Figure 3 presents the second constructive version of the edge of the proposed invention, the door and the adjacent part of the housing 1 of the refrigerator. The door structure consisting of the outer glass plate 3, the outer part 12 of the frame, composed of aluminum hollow profile elements and supporting the outer glass plate 3 and the hinge, the inner glass plate 6, surrounded by the outer part 12 of the frame, and the inner part 19 of the frame, is the same as the design shown in figure 2, but in the embodiment of figure 3, the inner part 19 of the frame does not perform any supporting function for the inner glass plate 6, but serves only for thermal insulation.

The inner glass plate 6 is connected to the outer glass plate 3 by a spacer 26, which can be, for example, an aluminum profile, such as used for house windows, and hermetically connect the glass plates 3, 6 by gluing or gluing. Glass plates 3, 6 with a spacer 26 can be mounted in advance using the technology used in the manufacture of insulated glass windows, and the space between the glass plates 3, 6 can be filled with known gas with better insulating ability than air.

Even before the glass plates 3, 6 are joined, an opaque decorative coating 27 is applied along the edge of the rear side of the outer glass plate 3, for example, by screen printing, which extends from the edge of the glass 3 inward, behind the spacer element 26 so that it and the frame 4 are not visible on finally mounted door.

The two parts 12, 19 that form the frame 4, as in the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, are rigidly interconnected by a plastic profiled element, in this case in the form of a hollow element 28, which has ribs that enter into the grooves with geometric and force closure 17 parts 12, 19 frames.

The inner part 19 of the frame is here separated from the inner glass plate 6 by a gap filled along the perimeter with a foam tape 29. The foam tape 29 has on the side facing the glass plate 6 a large number of ribs 30 that are easily deformable and fit snugly against the glass plate 6. On the opposite side, the tape 29 is clamped in the inner part 19 of the frame by a protrusion 31, which with a geometric closure enters the cut groove of the part 19 frames.

A magnetic seal 23, providing an airtight abutment of the door 2 to the front side of the housing 1, is clamped in a groove 32 formed on one side by the inner part 19 of the frame, and on the other hand, a rib 33 protruding from the hollow profiled element 28 in the direction of the housing 1 with a thickening at the end.

The magnetic seal 23 has a flexible tongue 34, which, when the door 2 is closed, adjoins the rear side of the outer part 12 of the frame along its entire length, thus sealing the cavity 35 between the rib 33 and the outer part 12 of the frame, thereby further contributing to the thermal insulation of the door in the area of the seal 23.

Since the inner part 19 of the frame in this embodiment does not perform any load-bearing function and is not subject to large mechanical stresses, it can be thin enough, which also improves its insulating effect, or it can be made not of metal, but rather better of insulating plastic. Another possibility of modification is to make the inner part 19 of the frame made of plastic at the same time with the hollow profiled element 28, as an integral part.

Claims (12)

1.
