Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the microbiological and hydrolysis industry, in particular to the production of fodder yeast, and in particular to methods for concentrating yeast before drying.
М.: 1986 г.).It is known that the main stages in the production of fodder yeast are the cultivation, thickening (concentration) of yeast suspension and drying of yeast concentrate. (See book. A.A. Andreev, L.I. Bryzgalov. Production of fodder yeast. M: 1986).
Typically, the concentration of pressed yeast in suspension after the growing stage is about 30 g / l, and before drying it is 550-600 g / l. The thickening of the suspension from 30 to 600 g / l cannot be carried out in one go. Therefore, in practice, schemes are used that include two- or three-stage thickening.
The most widely used method in the industry was the concentration method, including preliminary thickening from 30 to 80-200 g / l (for example, on flotators) and final concentration to 550-600 g / l on centrifugal separators. This method is described in detail in the above book and adopted as a prototype.
Существенным недостатком прототипа является необходимость использования центробежных сепараторов, поскольку они являются дорогостоящим оборудованием, сложным в обслуживании и требующим больших эксплуатационных затрат (в том числе и на электропривод).A significant disadvantage of the prototype is the need to use centrifugal separators, since they are expensive equipment, difficult to maintain and require high operating costs (including electric drive).
To date, no other methods have been developed to exclude centrifugal separators from technological schemes for the production of fodder yeast. The problem to which the invention is directed, is to reduce operating costs for the production of fodder yeast at the stage of concentration. This is achieved by the fact that in the known method of concentrating yeast before drying, which includes the stages of preliminary and final thickening of the yeast suspension, the yeast suspension is subjected to heating before the final thickening step, and the final thickening is carried out by settling. The step of heating the suspension is carried out at a temperature of 60-75 ° C, using either surface heat exchangers or the suspension is mixed with hot aqueous medium (for example, water or post-yeast mash).
New features in the proposed method compared to the prototype are: the inclusion between the stages of preliminary and final thickening of the operation of heating the yeast suspension, as well as the stage of final thickening by settling.
Additional new features are: the stage of heating to a temperature in the range of 60-75 ° C by mixing the suspension with a hot aqueous medium.
The invention is illustrated by examples.
Example 1. 100 ml of a suspension of fodder yeast, condensed to a concentration of 78 g / l (compressed yeast), was heated in a water bath to a temperature of 75 ° C and then settled for 40 minutes. The concentration of yeast in the condensed suspension (precipitate) was 590 g / l, and in the post-yeast mash (supernatant) - 0.8 g / l.
Example 2. 100 ml of yeast suspension, condensed to a concentration of 197 g / l and having a temperature of 36 ° C, was mixed with 200 ml of water heated to 77 ° C, after which it settled for 30 minutes. The concentration of yeast in the condensed suspension was 640 g / l, and in the post-yeast mash - 0.7 g / l.
