Abstract
Description
The claimed invention relates to heat-resistant fabrics used mainly for thermal insulation.
An analogue of the claimed invention is a fabric including interwoven warp and weft threads (see Yu.A. Baturin. Production of asbestos textile products. M: Chemistry, 1981, pp. 122-125; 133-138). The essential features of the analogue “including interwoven warp and weft” coincide with the essential features of the claimed invention.
A disadvantage of the analogue is the necessity of using heavy fabrics or several layers of fabrics to ensure the effectiveness of thermal insulation.
The prototype of the claimed invention is a fabric comprising interwoven warp and weft threads (see Asbestos and technical products. Handbook. M: TsNIITE-Neftekhim, 1966, pp. 17-28). The essential features of the prototype “including interwoven warp and weft” coincide with the essential features of the claimed invention.
The disadvantage of the prototype is the need to use to ensure the effectiveness of thermal insulation of heavy tissue or several layers of tissue.
п.The problem to which the claimed invention is directed, is to ensure insulation efficiency by reducing heat fluxes passing through the fabric by reducing the possibility of passing heat-removing gas flows (for example, convection) through the fabric as a result of reducing the translucent surface of the fabric without increasing its thickness, weave density ( weight), number of layers, etc.
To achieve the specified technical result, the fabric, including intertwined warp and weft threads, is made of threads that are capable of mechanical impact during transportation of the fabric, installation and operation of insulation to partially split off individual fibers from the surface of the threads and to lay down the split fibers.
The essential features of the claimed invention “made of yarns capable of mechanical impact during transportation, installation and operation of insulation to partially split off individual fibers from the surface of the yarns and to exfoliate the cleaved fibers” are distinctive from the features of the prototype.
The fabric is a fabric made by weaving the warp and weft threads on a loom. The fabric can have plain, twill, etc. weave threads, be two-layer, etc. The threads of which the fabric is made contain fibers that are capable of being mechanically impacted by the fabric to be split from the threads, while most of the split fibers are not completely split off, remaining fixed in the threads in part of their length. With further mechanical influences, the split-off parts of the fibers and some completely split-off fibers intertwine (hang together), blocking the gaps between the threads.
A specific example of the claimed fabric is an AT-16 type fabric, the composition of the fibers of which includes asbestos fibers, cotton fibers and fibers subjected to special destructive mechanical stress (for example, destructive fibers, some types of fiber wastes, etc.). Destructive fibers have an increased ability to cleave compared to conventional fibers. In this case, the destructive mechanical action is selected in such a way as to ensure predominantly partial, but not complete cleavage of the fibers.
The inventive fabric can be made by known methods on a loom.
Fabrication of fabric using fibers with increased ability to split due to additional destructive effects allows to reduce the translucent surface of the fabric due to the splitting and lodging of the split fibers during mechanical stresses during fabric transportation, installation and operation of fabric as a part of insulation. This helps to reduce gas flows (for example, convection) passing through the fabric during operation and, accordingly, reduce heat dissipation, that is, improves the heat-insulating properties of the fabric. Moreover, to obtain a more effective insulation, it is not necessary to increase the thickness of the fabric, the number of insulation layers, the density of weaving, etc.
