Abstract
Description
The invention relates to medicine, namely to orthopedics of the spine, and can be used in the treatment of certain forms of spondylitis.
A known method of treatment of spondylitis, consisting in the conservative effect of antibacterial drugs against a background of strict long-term (4-6 months) bed rest. (See, for example, J. "Orthopedics, Traumatology and Prosthetics", 12, pp. 1-5, 1983).
This method is adopted as a prototype.
However, the known method of treatment is associated with prolonged bed rest, a high probability of complications if it is necessary to wear a corset.
The purpose of the invention is the reduction of rehabilitation time and the likelihood of complications with a reduced treatment regimen.
This goal is achieved by the fact that purulent masses are sucked out from the focal zone and antibacterial drugs are administered to it during extrafocal fixation of the affected spine.
The essence of the invention lies in the fact that with the help of a trocar access to the area of the focus is carried out and purulent contents are aspirated from it through an irrigator brought through the trocar, antibiotics are introduced into the zone and intravenously, while the spine is fixed with a compression device.
Figure 1 shows access to the area of the lesion of the spine.
Figure 2 shows the stage of fixation of the vertebrae.
Figure 3-4 shows the result of treatment.
The proposed method is as follows.
Radiologically determine the location of the lesion of the spine.
Using a trocar along the paravertebral line on the right, at an angle of 35-45 o to the body of the spine (under electron-visual control) enter the area of the lesion 1 (Fig. 1). The purulent contents of the lesion are sucked off with a syringe through the trocar, into which the irrigator is then introduced through the trocar.
Then the trocar is removed, and the left irrigator is closed and sewn to the skin.
The next stage of the patient is laid on the stomach and extrafocal fixation of the affected spine by a compression device 2 (for example, type Byzova), for the spinous processes of the vertebrae above and below the focus 1 (figure 2).
Finally, from 3-5 days after the operation, the patient is allowed to walk, and in the process of further rehabilitation through the irrigator to focus 1 and intravenously administer antibiotics.
After 2-3 months, when the
The proposed method is intended for the treatment of patients with various forms of spondylitis.
Its use in tuberculosis clinics can significantly reduce the rehabilitation period and reduce the likelihood of complications.
