Abstract
Description
The invention relates to metallurgy, and more particularly to the disposal of wastewater from metallurgical production.
There is a method of recycling phenolic waters, including feeding them to extinguish a coke cake in a fire tower (Tolochko A.I. et al. "Purification of technological gases in the iron and steel industry." M., Metallurgy, 1982, pp. 207-208 - analogue )
The main disadvantage of this method is the low degree of utilization of phenols and their release into the surrounding atmosphere.
There is also known a method of utilization of phenolic waters, including supplying phenolic waters to the exhaust gas stream from steelmaking units, the temperature of which is 700-1600 o C, and at the same time oxygen is supplied to the gas stream with a flow rate of 5-40 m 3 / t of phenolic water. It is also possible to supply a mixture of phenolic water with technical recycled water in a ratio of 15: 1 to 1:10 (USSR author's certificate 1688587, class C21C 5/38, 1989 - prototype). The known method (prototype) will increase the degree of utilization and reduce the release of phenols into the atmosphere.
However, the main disadvantage of this method is the insufficiently high degree of purification of phenolic waters and environmental pollution (atmosphere and water bodies).
The technical result of the invention is to increase the degree of purification of phenolic waters and improve the ecological environment.
The technical result is achieved by the fact that in the method for utilization of phenolic waters, including supplying phenolic waters to the exhaust gas stream of oxygen-enriched steelmaking units, concentrated ammonia water with phenols up to 3000 mg / l and cyanides up to 1000 mg / is used as phenolic waters l, and a catalyst is introduced into the exhaust gas stream, while oxygen is fed into the exhaust gas stream in an amount of 50-100 m 3 / t of ammonia water.
In addition, as a catalyst, lime powder is used in an amount of 10-100 g / m 3 of exhaust gases.
(1:10)÷(1:1). In addition, a mixture of lime powder and iron oxides in the ratio (1:10) ÷ (1: 1) is used as a catalyst.
An example of the method
In the coke production, concentrated ammonia wastewater with a phenol content of 1500 mg / l and cyanide 600 mg / l is taken and, bypassing biochemical treatment, transported to steelmaking furnaces, where they are injected into the exhaust gas stream, the temperature of which is about 1650 o C. At the same time, the off-gas enriched oxygen consumption which is 70 m 3 / t of ammonia water, and the catalyst is introduced in the form of powder, lime or mixtures of lime powder and iron oxides in a ratio of 1: 5 and at a rate of 30 g / m 3 gas, and the amount they gave of concentrated ammonia water is 40 m 3 / hour. Ammonia water evaporates, and the products of decomposition and oxidation of phenols, cyanides and other substances contained in them are brought to the simplest gases CO 2 , H 2 O and N 2 and are discharged through the pipe into the atmosphere. The content of residual impurities of harmful substances in the exhaust gases is brought to the maximum permissible concentrations.
Using the proposed method for the utilization of phenolic water can reduce the concentration of harmful substances in wastewater, namely phenols from 3000 mg / l to 0.0001 g / m 3 , gases and cyanides from 1000 mg / l to 0.0001 g / m 3 discharging phenolic water for biochemical treatment up to 80% and significantly reduce capital and current costs for the disposal of wastewater from coke production.
The proposed method allows to prevent pollution of water bodies and the atmosphere with phenols, cyanides, thiocyanates, nitrogen oxides, which significantly improves the ecological environment.
