Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of non-ferrous metallurgy, and in particular to the field of production of pure zinc oxide from various zinc-containing technogenic raw materials: zinc-containing dust from gas purification of copper smelting plants, OCM plants and others.
88%. A known method of processing zinc-containing raw materials into zinc oxide, including leaching the starting material with a strong solution of sodium hydroxide, diluting the resulting pulp with water, filtering, purifying the obtained zincate solution from sodium silicate from aluminum hydroxide, decomposing the zincate solution in the presence of seed zinc oxide, filtering and drying the isolated zinc oxide to obtain the finished product [1]. The disadvantages of the method are the low extraction of zinc oxide in the final product, equal to 84-88%, and the low quality of the latter: the content of ZnO in it does not exceed 88%.
The closest in essence to the achieved results is a method of hydrometallurgical production of zinc oxide, including leaching zinc-containing materials with caustic soda, purifying the solution from silica with calcium oxide, decomposing the supersaturated zincate solution in the presence of seed, separating zinc oxide and drying it, characterized in that obtained after leaching rough zincate solution is subjected to simultaneous primary decomposition and desiliconization by adding calcium oxide to it. The precipitate is separated from the solution and leached again with a strong alkaline solution: only ZnO passes into the solution, and the bulk of SiO 2 remains in the precipitate. The purified zincate solution is diluted, separated from the precipitate by filtration and subjected to repeated decomposition already with seed from zinc oxide.
99,78% [2]. The method allows to increase the extraction of zinc oxide from raw materials in the final product up to 95%, and the content of ZnO in the final product up to 99.78% [2].
5-7%. However, the method has the following disadvantages: the complexity (multi-stage) of the technological process — two leaching and decomposition operations require an increase in the number of filtering equipment, an amount of washer, and, consequently, an increase in energy consumption for evaporation of the latter and, in addition, with an increased content of lead oxide in the feedstock, ZnO extraction in the final product is reduced by 5-7%.
The purpose of the invention is to simplify the process and increase the degree of extraction of zinc oxide in the final product during the processing of zinc-lead man-made materials.
Na2S + Pb2+ + 2OH- ---> PbS + 2NaOH,
This goal is achieved by combining the stages of leaching of the source of technogenic raw materials and desalination of the zincate solution by introducing calcium oxide directly into the leaching stage, while the bulk of the silica remains in the insoluble cake from leaching and eliminates the operation of filtering the zinc-calcium precipitate and re-leaching it. At the same time, in order to eliminate the negative effect of lead oxide when it is significant in the feedstock (the weight ratio of PbO / ZnO exceeds 0.20), which manifests itself in the fact that PbO also dissolves in sodium hydroxide and a smaller part of the active ("dissolving"") NaOH - elemental sulfur S is simultaneously dosed into the leaching sphere. Dissolving in caustic soda with the formation of sodium sulfide, it precipitates from rough zinc-lead solution, primarily, due to the significantly lower value of the product solution Mosti OL PbS = 2.5 • 10 -27 (compared to PR ZnS = 2,5 • 10 -22) ions Pb 2+ PbS to form a precipitate and a solution of sodium hydroxide according to the reaction:
Na 2 S + Pb 2+ + 2OH - ---> PbS + 2NaOH,
thereby simultaneously reducing the content of harmful impurities in the solution (and hereinafter, in the final zinc oxide) and increasing the concentration of active alkali in the leaching sphere, which increases the extraction of zinc oxide into the solution from the feedstock.
In addition, studies have shown (see below) that the presence of sulfide ions in the leaching sphere allows, at the same dosage of lime, to intensify the process of desalination of zincate solutions, i.e. keep the quality (ZnO content) of the final target product at the same high level.
Для получения оксида цинка используют пыль системы газоочистки медеплавильного завода следующего состава, мас.%: 45,0 ZnO, 15,0 PbO, 4,0 SiO2, 3,0 Fe2O3, 3,4 CaO, 2,0 Al2O3, 0,3 As2O5 (отношение PbO/ZnO = 0,33).To obtain zinc oxide, dust from the gas treatment system of a copper smelter of the following composition is used, wt.%: 45.0 ZnO, 15.0 PbO, 4.0 SiO 2 , 3.0 Fe 2 O 3 , 3.4 CaO, 2.0 Al 2 O 3 , 0.3 As 2 O 5 (PbO / ZnO ratio = 0.33).
Processing of this technogenic raw material is carried out in two ways: according to the conditions of the prototype (example 1) and the proposed method (example 2).
Пример 1 (по прототипу): Выщелачивание исходного материала проводили раствором 250 г/дм3 NaOH при t=95oC в течение 1,5 часов при отношении Ж:Т = 6: 1.Example 1 (prototype): Leaching of the starting material was carried out with a solution of 250 g / dm 3 NaOH at t = 95 o C for 1.5 hours with a ratio of W: T = 6: 1.
After leaching, the pulp was diluted with water to 110 g / dm 3 of C NaOH and filtered. The obtained draft zincate solution contained, g / dm 3 : 45.0 ZnO, 8.0 PbO, 0.5 SiO 2 , 0.07 Fe 2 O 3 ; the degree of extraction of ZnO and Pb into the solution at this stage was 90.8% and 40%. This solution was subjected to primary decomposition and, at the same time, desilicified using CaO additive in an amount of 25 g / dm 3 (of which 60% for decomposition and 40% for the formation of calcium silicate) at t = 60 ° C for 1 hour. The silica content in the solution decreases to 0.15 g / dm 3 , and 52% ZnO, 80% Fe 2 O 3 and 15% PbO of the solution content are precipitated.
90,8•96,8/100 = 87,9%.The precipitate is separated from the solution by filtration and sent for re-leaching with an alkaline solution at t = 70 o C, τ = 0.5 hours and the ratio W: T = 12: 1. After dilution and filtration, the purified zincate solution contains, g / dm 3 : 100.6 NaOH, 50.4 ZnO, 4.5 PbO, 0.12 SiO 2 0.03 Fe 2 O 3 ; the degree of extraction of ZnO in solution at the second leaching of 96.8%. Thus, the total extraction of ZnO in a pure zincate solution was 90.8 • 96.8 / 100 = 87.9%.
The resulting solution is decomposed already with a seed of zinc oxide at t = 90 o C, the duration of the agitation 6 hours and the seed ratio (zo) 0.5. The degree of decomposition of the solution was 53.0%. Next, the precipitate formed is separated from the mother liquor, washed and dried at 250 ° C. for 3 hours.
Example 2. The leaching of the starting material was carried out with an alkaline solution of 250 g / dm 3 NaOH at t = 95 o C for 1.5 hours at a ratio of: W: T = 6: 1, lime dosage 15 g / dm 3 (only for the formation of silicate calcium - 10 mol of CaO / mol of SiO 2 ) and elemental sulfur in an amount of 15 g / dm 3 (1.5-fold excess in relation to the amount of PbO that passes into the solution). CaO and S were introduced 30 minutes after the start of leaching.
PbO - 95,5.Next, the pulp after leaching was diluted with water to C NaOH = 110 g / DM 3 and filtered. The obtained pure zincate solution contained, g / dm 3 : 54 ZnO, 0.1 SiO 2 , 0.008 Fe 2 O 3 , 0.4 PbO: the degree of extraction of ZnO into the solution from the feedstock was 95.0%, the degree of purification of the solution from PbO - 95.5.
This solution was decomposed under conditions as in example 1 (t = 90 ° C, τ = 6 hours and z.o. = 0.5). The degree of decomposition in this case amounted to 54.5%. The precipitated precipitated zinc oxide is separated from the solution, washed and dried at 250 o C for 3 hours.
1. The results of comparative studies of the known and proposed methods of application to the processing of technogenic zinc-lead raw materials are presented in table. 1.
In the table. 2 shows the values of the degree of extraction of zinc oxide in the final product under optimal process conditions (dosage of CaO and S) leaching according to the proposed method and when going beyond the optimal mode.
Thus, the optimal conditions for conducting the process are the dosage of CaO 10-20 g / dm 3 and S relative to the amount of PbO transferred to the solution, 1.3-1.6 times the weight quantity. With a decrease in the CaO dosage below 10 g / dm 3 , ceteris paribus (op. 6), while maintaining the degree of extraction of ZnO almost at the same level (94.8%), the ZnO content in the final product significantly decreases - 99.0% compared to with 99.6% of the prototype.
This is due to the deterioration of desiliconization, and hence with an increase in the content of SiO 2 in zinc oxide. Exceeding the dosage of lime (op. 7) significantly reduces the yield of ZnO (86.5%) due to the loss of ZnO with silica precipitate. An increase in the sulfur dosage above the optimum value (op. 9) does not lead to an improvement in the results; on the contrary, the quality of ZnO decreases slightly. This is due to the formation of thiocomplexes of iron in solution, which then precipitate upon decomposition of the zincate solution with zinc oxide. A lower than necessary dosage of sulfur (op. 8) reduces the quality of zinc oxide due to the insufficient purification of the zincate solution from lead ions, which are then deposited with ZnO upon decomposition of the latter.
So, the use of a new method of hydrometallurgical production of zinc oxide from technogenic mixed (zinc-lead) raw materials allows us to significantly simplify the process compared to the prototype (one stage of leaching instead of two operations) and increase the degree of extraction of a valuable component in the final product while maintaining the quality of the latter.
