Lanolin - 42-45
A method for the treatment of psoriasis is proposed.
For 4-6 weeks at the stationary stage of psoriasis, an ointment consisting of an extract of birch fungus, celandine, salicylate on a petrolatum-lanolin base is applied twice a day for rashes and rubbed thoroughly. In addition, daily in the morning and in the afternoon during the entire treatment period, an infusion of medicinal herbs of 100 ml per 70 ml is taken orally, containing rosehips, hawthorn, mountain ash and aronia, aralia roots, 20 minutes before meals. In the evening, the patient receives 1 ml of peony tincture in 50 ml of water 1 hour before bedtime. For children, the dose of galenic preparations is 2 drops for each year of life for one dose with a mandatory intake of 30-50 ml of water.
To prepare the infusion, dry plants are crushed and used in a dose of 2 g per 200 ml of boiling water.
(11). An aqueous extract of birch fungus is used in the form of an official drug, befungin, which is approved as an internal treatment for gastroenterological patients (12). Celandine extract is prepared from dry grass on 40% alcohol in a ratio of 1: 4 according to GF 10th edition (11).
In the treatment of psoriasis, diet and regimen are followed. Fatty foods with a variety of dishes and an abundance of plant-derived vitamins are excluded from the diet. Limit the amount of sugar consumed, spicy foods and seasonings.
Treatment should not be started during an exacerbation of the disease.
The disappearance of the disease occurs within 30-40 days from the start of the procedures.
The basic medicinal plants included in the infusion and ointment dosage form include the following, affecting certain symptoms of the disease and used in the treatment of psoriasis.
Chaga birch mushroom (Inonotus obliquus) is a parasitic fungus from the fungi family. It contains a water-soluble pigment complex, which has an aromatic nature and is built according to the type of humic acids. The therapeutic effect of chaga to a certain extent is due to the presence of steroid compounds of lanosterol, ergosterol and inotodiol (3), as well as humic like chagic acid and free phenols (4). Chagic acid is a highly polymeric aromatic substance - a product of the oxidation of phenolic substances under the influence of mushroom laccase and their subsequent polymerization. The stimulating effect of chaga preparations on the central and humoral systems of the body, as well as metabolic processes, was noted. They increase the body's resistance and contribute to strengthening the formation of compensatory-adaptive mechanisms (5). Chaga is used in gastroenterology, oncology, dermatology (6). However, there is no information about the use of chaga in the external treatment of psoriasis as a mono- or as part of complex preparations.
23 - 40%. Large celandine (Chelidonium majus) is a perennial herbaceous plant from the poppy family. It refers to alkaloid-containing plants (chelidonin, oxychelidonin, sanguinarine, chelerythrin, homochelidonin, helirubin, koptizin, spartein, etc.). Celandine preparations inhibit the growth of malignant tumors, have antimycotic, antiviral, antispasmodic, local anesthetic, reparative, anti-inflammatory, bactericidal, choleretic, wound healing effects (7). More often, an aqueous extract of the plant is used (7), however, alkaloids are not sufficiently extracted from plant materials with a water extractor, and preferably with water-alcohol in an alcohol concentration of 23 - 40%.
(2). May rose hips (Rosa majalis) increase the redox processes in the body, participate in the oxidative deamination of aromatic amino acids, activate a number of enzyme systems, stabilize the content of adrenaline and other catecholamines, and stimulate the body's resistance to harmful environmental influences (6). The presence in the fruits of vitamins of group B, E and carotene gives the rosehip herbal preparations the missing links of a stimulating effect on the anaerobic decarboxylation of pyruvic acid with subsequent activation of enzyme systems. Fruits also enhance tissue regeneration, hormone synthesis, favorably affect carbohydrate metabolism and vascular permeability (2).
(6). Due to the presence of a complex of flavonoids, microelements, and hydroxycinnamic acids, the fruits of hawthorn (Cratagus sanguinea) have a hypocholesterolemic effect, lowering blood cholesterol and increasing the amount of lecithin (10), which is important in the treatment of psoriasis. A significant antiviral effect of hawthorn against herpes virus has been established (9), given the retroviral nature of psoriatic disease (6).
(9). The fruits of mountain ash (Sorbus aucuparia) contain carotenoids, flavonoids, a complex of vitamins and exhibit a multivitamin and antiviral effect (9).
Chokeberry fruits (Aronia melanocarpa), due to their flavonoid content and vitamin complex, have a chelostimulating, capillary-strengthening and antiviral effect (6), which makes it possible to recommend them in the treatment of psoriasis.
(6). Aralia manchurian (Aralia manshurica) contains triterpene saponins - aralosides, which increase the resistance of the main physiological systems of the body to adverse effects, are able to create a state of non-specifically increased resistance in the body, regulate the course of a stressful situation (2), which determines the need to use its drugs in the treatment of psoriasis patients (6).
