Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the determination of the thermophysical properties of substances, namely the higher and lower specific heat of combustion of combustible gases, and can be used in gas production and gas transportation industries, in the power industry, as well as in various industries using the heat of combustion of gases and, in addition, in scientific research.
A known method of measuring the calorific value of combustible gases (Copyright certificate N 1126853, G 01 N 25/32, 1984).
The method consists in the fact that the measuring and comparative cells are placed in the shell of the calorimeter, on the surface of which a constant temperature is maintained. The test mixture (combustible gas with an oxidizing agent) is continuously fed into the measuring cell and the gas is completely burned, while the thermal power Q x is released in the measuring cell. The combustion products are removed from the measuring cell with the help of the outlet pipe into the atmosphere. The obtained thermal power Q x is compared with the heat release in the comparative cell Q 0 . For this, the heat flux between the cells is continuously recorded. Between the cells include semiconductor heat flux converters (heat meters). The heat flux is recorded by the value of the electric signal proportional to it from the heat meter, by which the heat dissipation in the cells is equalized by adjusting the heat power of the comparative cell, the value of the compensating heat power in the comparative cell is measured, and the heat of combustion is determined by known dependencies. The heat flux Q t = 0, and Q 1 = Q x = Q 0 = Q 2 , where Q 1 and Q 2 are the heat fluxes through the corresponding thermal resistances, which is realized by installing in the comparative cell of the electric heater. The value of the compensating thermal power is determined by the measured values of current and voltage on the branches of the electric heater.
A known method for the continuous determination of the calorific value of combustible gases. (Copyright certificate N 1288567, G 01 N 25/32, 1987).
The method is implemented as described above. To equalize the temperatures of the working mixture at the inlet to the measuring and comparative cells in the isothermal shell installed recuperative heat exchanger, in which the working mixture takes a temperature equal to the temperature of the shell. In the measuring cell, the desired amount of heat Q x is released , which is compared with the heat release in the comparative cell Q 0 , for which the heat flux between the cells is recorded by the value of the electrical signal proportional to it.
The objective of the invention is to reduce the error and time of measurement of the higher and lower specific heat of combustion.
The method of continuous measurement of the higher and lower specific heat of combustion of combustible gases is that the measuring and comparative cells are placed in an isothermal shell of the calorimeter. The working mixture is continuously fed into the measuring cell, where the process of complete combustion of gas is carried out, the combustion products are removed and the amounts of heat entering per unit time with the working mixture are equal to the measuring and comparative cells. For this, the working mixture is preliminarily fed to a heat exchanger located in an isothermal shell, in which the working mixture takes a temperature close to the temperature of the shell. Next, the working mixture is sent to the comparative cell, then taken to a similar heat exchanger, where it again takes a temperature close to the temperature of the shell. After that, the working mixture is introduced into the measuring cell.
Constant thermal power is continuously maintained in the comparative cell. The thermal power of the measuring cell is compared with the thermal power of the comparative cell, for which the heat flux is continuously recorded using heat meters installed between the cells. The heat dissipation in the cells is equalized by regulating the thermal power of the measuring cell by changing the flow rate of the test gas and maintaining the same and constant heat dissipation in each cell.
The flow rate of the test gas is controlled using a piston metering device with a stepper motor, the frequency of the control pulses of which F will be functionally related to the desired specific heat of combustion q x . In this case, q x = f (F), where f is the function determined during the grading process.
The most promising for the implementation of the proposed method is the use of the aneroid design of the calorimeter based on a differential thermal circuit with compensation for heat flux, which is shown in the drawing.
The drawing shows measuring 1 and comparative 2 cells placed in an isothermal shell 3. Identity of the conditions is achieved by symmetric arrangement of both cells in the isothermal shell, as well as by connecting the cells to the shell through the same thermal resistance R h = R 0 , K / W. The cells themselves should be as identical as possible in design.
The working mixture is continuously fed into the measuring cell (test combustible gas with an oxidizing agent) and the gas is completely burned, while the thermal power Q x , W is released in the measuring cell. Combustion products are vented to the atmosphere.
To ensure equal amounts of heat entering per unit time with the working mixture in the measuring and comparative cells Q pc , W, for example, the working mixture is preliminarily fed to a heat exchanger 4 located in an isothermal shell, in which the working mixture takes a temperature close to the shell temperature. Next, the working mixture is sent to a comparative cell, then taken to a similar heat exchanger 5, where it again takes a temperature close to the temperature of the shell. After that, the working mixture is introduced into the measuring cell.
In the comparative cell, the constant thermal power Q 0 = const, W, for example, is continuously maintained, for example, due to the electric heater 6. The thermal power Q x is compared with Q 0 , for this the heat flux Q t between the cells is continuously recorded using heat meters, with thermal resistance R t . By the magnitude of the electric signal from the heat meters, the heat release in the cells is equalized by regulating the heat power Q x so that Q t = 0. In this case, for the stationary state of the calorimetric system, the necessary condition Q x = Q 0 = const, which can be provided, for example, by regulating the flow rate of the test gas using a piston batcher with a stepper motor, the frequency of the control pulses of which F, Hz, will be functionally related to the desired specific heat of combustion q x , MJ / m 3 . In this case, q x = f (F), where f is the function determined during the grading process.
Observance of the condition Q x = Q 0 = const allows one to reduce the measurement time q x by maintaining a constant temperature state of the differential calorimetric system due to a significant reduction in the influence of transient thermal processes.
7. At the same time, the temperature of the outer surface of the measuring cell can be controlled in any way known in such a way that, when measuring the higher specific heat of combustion, it completely condensates water vapor of the combustion products (if the composition of the gas is known, the temperature of the shell must correspond to the temperature of the dew point), and when measuring the lowest specific heat of combustion condensation of water vapor did not occur. The temperature of the outer surface of the cell is controlled using a sensor 7.
10-40oC.When measuring the specific heat of combustion of methane in air, the flow rate of the supplied gas was 4-6 l / h. Measurement time 6 minutes. The specific net calorific value was q x.n. = 33.4 MJ / m 3 at an ambient temperature of 10-40 o C.
As experience has shown, eliminating the influence of transients in a differential calorimetric system makes it possible to reduce the time for measuring higher and lower calorific value by almost 8–10 times.
