Abstract
Description
The invention relates to optical and optoelectronic instrumentation and, in particular, to observational instruments.
Several binocular systems are known with various optical designs. One of them (see patent RU 2143717 Cl, G 02 B 23/12 of 05/15/98) is based on the use of prisms with translucent faces that spread the light beam into two branches - to the right and left eyepieces. The disadvantage of such systems is their large mass due to the use of volumetric prisms, as well as the loss of light transmission on the beam splitting face.
The closest technical solution is a fast binocular system (RF patent N 2047203 from 04.24.93).
This optical system contains an input collimation lens, two telescopic lenses mounted behind it in parallel, a rectangular dividing prism with external reflecting faces, and two optical branches, each consisting of a team, a flat mirror, and an eyepiece.
1) невозможность реализации регулировки системы по базе глаз наблюдателя и, как следствие, уменьшение поля зрения, видимого каждым глазом отдельно при крайних значениях баз наблюдателя и использование при этом краевых зон выходных зрачков, ухудшающих качество изображения;
The main disadvantages of this binocular system include:
1) the impossibility of implementing the adjustment of the system based on the base of the observer’s eyes and, as a consequence, the reduction of the field of view visible by each eye separately at the extreme values of the observer’s bases and the use of edge zones of exit pupils that worsen the image quality;
2) the increase in mass and dimensions associated with the need to use large light diameters of individual optical elements to create excess in size, but ineffectively used exit pupils of the system.
The technical task of the invention is to create a convenient for observation, with an increased field of view, small dimensions and weight, fast binocular system.
W1 - угол поля зрения телескопической насадки;
n - показатель преломления материала разделительной призмы;
P - размер входного зрачка в плоскости главного сечения разделительной призмы телескопической насадки;
To solve this problem, we propose a binocular system containing a collimation lens, a separation prism, two telescopic nozzles symmetrically located relative to the axis of the collimation lens, each of which contains a lens, a flat mirror and an eyepiece, characterized in that the separation prism is made in the form of a composite structure formed by two rectangular truncated prisms joined by the surfaces of the sections, the secant planes parallel to the output faces of the prism, and the size of the surface The cross section along the optical axis of the collimation lens satisfies the following relation:
Where
W 1 - the angle of the field of view of the telescopic nozzle;
n is the refractive index of the material of the separation prism;
P is the size of the entrance pupil in the plane of the main section of the dividing prism of the telescopic nozzle;
C is the size of the cross-sectional surface of the separation prism along the optical axis of the collimation lens.
The essence of the invention lies in the fact that the special composite dividing prism used in the optical scheme of the binocular system provides an increased field of view of the W system, obtaining an optimal aperture, the ability to observe the full field of view with each eye at any interpupillary base of the observer's eyes by creating the possibility of moving telescopic nozzles in the plane perpendicular to the optical axis of the collimation lens, reducing dimensions and mass due to a radical decrease in optical light diameters physical components.
8. In FIG. 1 is an optical diagram of a fast binocular system consisting of an
The system operates as follows.
The light beam from the observed object passes through the
реализовать увеличенное поле зрения;
обеспечить оптимальную светосилу системы;
The implementation of the composite dividing prism in the proposed form (see Fig. 1) allows you to:
realize an increased field of view;
provide optimal system aperture;
apply the transverse movement of the telescopic nozzles to adjust the eyepieces along the base of the observer's eyes.
W1 - угол поля зрения телескопической насадки;
n - показатель преломления материала разделительной призмы;
P - размер входного зрачка в плоскости главного сечения разделительной призмы телескопической насадки;
To ensure the maximum angle of the field of view while ensuring optimal aperture, the size C of the cross-sectional surface of the components of rectangular prisms along the optical axis of the collimation lens should satisfy the following relation:
Where
W 1 - the angle of the field of view of the telescopic nozzle;
n is the refractive index of the material of the separation prism;
P is the size of the entrance pupil in the plane of the main section of the dividing prism of the telescopic nozzle;
C is the size of the cross-sectional surface of the separation prism along the optical axis of the collimation lens.
Using the proposed technical solution, an aperture binocular system with the following characteristics was made:
12 x magnification
Linear field of view 18 mm
Exit Pupil Size:
vertical 9 mm
horizontal 7 mm
The length of the optical system from the subject plane to the plane of the exit pupils is 79.5 mm
Weight 300 g
From the graphs of aberrations (Fig. 2) it can be seen that in the proposed system, compared with the prototype, the field of view angle is increased by 1.2 times with high image quality and optimal aperture ratio.
Thus, the proposed technical solution provides the creation of a fast binocular system with a large field of view, low weight and dimensions.
