FIELD: building materials industry, more particularly manufacture of building components and products intended for protection from ionizing radiations. SUBSTANCE: described is composition comprising sulfur, additive, filler and aggregate. Aggregate is lead shot with particle size of 3-4 mm, and filler is paraffin. Ratios of components are as follows, wt %: sulfur, 7.55-9.5; paraffin, 0.45-0.5; filler resulting from optical glass production waste with specific surface of 2000-2200 sqcm/g 14-17; lead shot aggregate with particle diameter of 3-4 mm, the balance. Products have average density of 6690-7230 kg/cubic m. Water absorption is 0.15-0.18 % for 24 h. EFFECT: increased average density and lower water absorption of the material. 1 tbl

Description

The invention relates to building materials and can be used for the manufacture of building parts and products designed to protect against ionizing radiation.

Known raw mix for the manufacture of building structures and products (and.with. N 1650637, C 04 B 28/36), including sulfur, additive, filler and aggregate in the following ratio of components, wt.%:
Sulfur - 10.8 - 12.8
Fine Filler - 9 - 13
Distillation residues of oil cracking - 0.1 - 0.26
Oil bituminous velvet sand - 4 - 6
Placeholder - Else
Closest to the invention is a composition (patent N 2105739, C 04 B 28/36) for the manufacture of building products, comprising the following components, wt.%
Sulfur - 14-16
Filler (waste product for the production of optical glass with a specific surface area of 2000 - 2200 cm 2 / g) - 28 - 42
Aggregate (the same waste with a particle size of 0.6-1.25 mm) - 42-58
However, these materials are characterized by a low average density, as well as significant water absorption.

The purpose of the invention is to increase the average density and reduce water absorption of the material.

This goal is achieved in that the composition, including sulfur, additive, filler and filler, contains lead fraction with a particle diameter of 3-4 mm as a filler, and paraffin as an additive.

For the manufacture of the composition, technical sulfur (GOST 127-76), paraffin, lead shot and waste from the production of optical glass are used. The specified waste contains 71% PbO, the true density of the waste is 5100 kg / m 3 . This waste, crushed to a specific surface of 2000 - 2200 cm 2 / g, was used as a filler.

The use of lead shot, having a true density of 11340 kg / m 3 , can significantly increase the average density of the composites, and the addition of paraffin reduces the water absorption.

The composition is prepared as follows. The molten at a temperature of 150 to 160 o C sulfur additive is introduced and heated up to 140 - 150 o C excipient. The mixture is stirred until smooth. Then, aggregate heated to 140-150 ° C is introduced. The mixture is thoroughly mixed, kept for 10-15 minutes at 150-160 o C, laid in molds and vibrated for 10-15 seconds. After cooling for 30 to 40 minutes, the molds are stripped.

The compositions of the proposed composition and the properties of the obtained material are given in the table.

As can be seen from the table, the proposed composition has a higher (1.5 - 1.7 times) average density and lower (2.5 - 3 times) water absorption compared with the known composition.
