Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of mineral processing and can be used in flotation processing of refractory oxidized copper ores, in particular ores containing chrysocolla.
И. 7) /1/. It is known that oxidized copper ores, especially ores containing chrysocolla, are classified as refractory or refractory ores ("Combined Methods of Processing Oxidized and Mixed Copper Ores", edited by S.I. Mitrofanov, M., 1978, p.7) / 1/.
4-13) /2/. The existing method of flotation dressing of such ores using preliminary sulfidization of oxidized copper minerals with sodium sulfide or hydrogen sulfide adopted as a prototype does not provide satisfactory indicators (O.V. Denisova et al. "Combined methods for the beneficiation of poor and difficult-to-concentrate ores abroad", Tsvetmetinformatsiya, series: mineral processing, M., 1978, S. 4-13) / 2 /.
At the same time, significant reserves of such ores indicate the importance of solving the problem of their integrated use.
In world practice, there is a trend towards the use of combined methods in the processing of refractory oxidized copper ores, for example flotation, using preliminary hydrometallurgical or pyrometallurgical processing of ore.
During hydrometallurgical processing, the ore is leached with subsequent release of copper from the solution, for example, by cementation and flotation of cement copper (1, p. 55-160).
When pyrometallurgical pretreatment of ore, it is known to use a segregation-flotation process, including chlorination roasting, copper reduction and its flotation (1, p. 270-274).
However, their use requires the use of environmentally hazardous substances - acids, chlorine compounds, as well as special equipment.
It is also known that in the processing of oxidized copper-nickel ores, the effective flotation separation of copper and nickel occurs after the conversion of their oxidized forms to sulfides — they carry out flotation separation of copper-nickel matte.
The present invention allows to achieve a technical result, expressed in increasing the extraction of copper and precious metals from refractory oxidized copper ores, in particular containing chrysocolla.
The technical result is achieved by the fact that in a method for processing oxidized copper ores, including preliminary sulfidization of copper minerals and subsequent flotation concentration with separation of copper concentrate, preliminary sulfidization of copper minerals is carried out by the method of sulfoagglomeration, and sulfoagglomeration is subjected to a charge composed of oxidized copper ore, coke and sulfur-containing material (sulfidizing agent). As the latter is suggested to use pyrite tailings, pyrite flotation concentrate or poor pyrite ore, etc. Sulfoaglomeratsiyu carried out for 15-35 minutes at a temperature of 1200 -. 1400 o C. The starting material for sulfoaglomeratsii may comprise, for example, an oxidized copper ore pyrite-bearing material and Coke in a ratio of 1: (0.2-1.5): (0-0.3). The resulting agglomerate is subjected to crushing, grinding and flotation using known flotation reagents to obtain copper concentrate. Grinding of the agglomerate is carried out in an alkaline medium to a particle size that ensures the disclosure of grains of valuable minerals.
The essence of the method consists in the formation of sulfides of copper during sulfoagglomeration due to the greater affinity of copper for sulfur in comparison with iron. The newly formed copper sulfides and the associated precious metals are floated in a copper concentrate using known flotation reagents.
The mixture for sulfoagglomeration of oxidized copper ore must contain a sufficient amount of sulfur-containing material in order to ensure effective sulfidization of copper and other metals. For example, when pyrite-containing tailings are used as sulfur-containing material, the latter are added to the charge in the ratio to oxidized copper ore equal to 1: (0.2-1.5). With a low sulfur content in the charge, a small amount of coke is added to ignite it.
Sulfoagglomeration is carried out at a temperature of 1200 - 1400 o C, higher temperatures violate the normal operation of sintering machines, and at lower values, effective sulfidization of copper in the entire volume of the charge will not be ensured.
The duration of sulfoagglomeration of 15-35 minutes provides the most complete course of the sulfidization reaction; with a longer duration, processes of desulfurization of the agglomerate can take place, which in this case is undesirable.
Example.
1: 0,8. Oxidized copper ore was processed with a copper content of 0.95% (chrysocolla fraction 38%) with pyrite-containing tailings in a ratio of 1: 0.8.
68,4%. In the conditions of the proposed method, with preliminary sulfidization of copper minerals by the method of sulfoagglomeration, a copper concentrate was obtained containing copper 18.5%, gold 6 g / t, silver 78 g / t, and copper 85.3%, gold 61.8%, silver 68 ,4%.
26%. Under the prototype conditions, during preliminary sulfidization of the discovered oxidized copper minerals with sodium sulfide and subsequent flotation in an alkaline medium using potassium butyl xanthate, a copper concentrate was obtained with a copper content of 13.2%, gold 1.5 g / t, silver 21.8 g / t when extracting copper 53%, gold 18%, silver 26%.
The data obtained allow us to conclude about the advantage of ore processing by the claimed method. Received a better copper concentrate compared to the prototype, and the extraction of copper and precious metals increased by 30-50% or more.
