Abstract

FIELD: civil engineering. SUBSTANCE: ventilation grate relates to exhaust ventilation systems and their arrangement in dwelling buildings. Ventilation grate has steel frame made of angles, and protective grate. Fixed to steel frame is plastic body with screen having small openings. Body is provided over its perimeter with foam plastic gasket which is kept in tight contact with wall. Also provided is device for its fixing to protective grate. Device is made up of hook and washer. Aforesaid embodiment of ventilation grate reliably prevents penetration into premise of insects from other dwelling units through ventilation air ducts. Description

 The invention relates to civil housing, in particular to exhaust ventilation and its device.

 Known ventilation grille for exhaust ventilation from living quarters, containing a steel frame from the corners and a protective grille (Baturin V.V. Ventilation, M., Gosstroyizdat, 1959, p. 169, Fig. 95).

 A disadvantage of the known ventilation grille is that the cells of the protective grille (17 X 17 mm) are very large, which facilitates the penetration of insects (cockroaches and mosquitoes) into the apartment from basements and other apartments, this is also facilitated by the system of air channels that converge into one vertical channel.

 An object of the invention is to increase the reliability of the ventilation grill from the penetration of insects into the apartment through ducts from other apartments.

 This task is achieved by the fact that the ventilation grill, including a steel frame from the corners, a protective grill, is equipped with a plastic case with a mesh with a small mesh, having a foam gasket perimeter adjacent to the wall, and a device for attaching the case to the protective grill, made in the form of a spring-loaded hooks and washers.

 The invention is illustrated by drawings: in FIG. 1 shows the claimed ventilation grille, the dotted line shows the proposed installation of the plastic housing, FIG. 2 shows a general view of a plastic case (front view), FIG. 3 shows a sectional view of the housing; FIG. 4 shows the rear of the hull.

 The ventilation grille is provided with a housing 1 made of plastic, in which a mesh with a small mesh is fixed 2. The part of the housing adjacent to the wall is provided with a foam pad 3. The ventilation grille has a device for attaching the housing, consisting of a fixing hook 4 with a ring 7, a coil spring 5 and washers 6.

 The ventilation grill is installed as follows.

 The plastic housing is mounted on the ventilation grill. The hook 4 is bent after the mesh 2 is punctured. The housing is placed on the ventilation grill and pressed onto the ring 7, while the hook 4 exits the housing and enters the mesh of the grate, after which the ring 7 is rotated, hooking the hook 4 to the grate. The ring 7 is released and the casing is fixed and held by the spring 5. A foam pad along the perimeter of the casing compensates for wall irregularities. The mesh 2 and the foam pad 3 are attached to the body by means of superglue.

 This design of the ventilation grille prevents the spread of insects in apartments.

 A ventilation grill, including a steel frame from the corners, a protective grill, characterized in that it is equipped with a plastic casing with a mesh with a small mesh, having a foam gasket perimeter adjacent to the wall, and a device for attaching the housing to the protective grill, made in the form of a spring-loaded hook and washers.
