Abstract
Description
The invention relates to welding and surfacing, in particular, to consumable electrodes used for surfacing a die tool with maraging steel.
Ni. Known martensitic steels that can be used for wear-resistant surfacing. The traditional hardening of these steels is the content of Ti and Al, which form hardening intermetallic phases during aging mainly with Ni.
However, the introduction of Ti and Al in a predetermined amount into the weld metal creates difficulties in the surfacing process, due to their high affinity for oxygen.
Close in technical essence and the achieved positive effect to the claimed invention is a wear-resistant alloy having the following composition, wt.

This alloy type X2HBM126 does not contain Ti and Al and has a significant advantage over analogues when used for surfacing. The hardening of the prototype occurs due to the formation of intermetallic hardening phases with the participation of molybdenum, which has a lower affinity for oxygen in comparison with Ti and Al and therefore creates less difficulty in welding. The formation of hardening phases with molybdenum of the type (Fe, Ni) 2 Mo, Ni 3 Mo and others leads to the stable properties of the alloy, which is very important when surfacing critical products. Moreover, the alloy is characterized by a relatively low hardness of 34 36 HRCE after multilayer surfacing, which makes it possible to satisfactorily process it with a cutting tool. After aging in the oven at 500 550 o C (1 2 hours) or operating temperatures, the hardness can increase to 55 HRC due to the formation of hardening phases. This helps to increase the wear resistance of products, in particular, stamping tools.
However, martensitic alloys are difficult to deform and it is difficult to obtain seamless solid wires, especially the small diameters of 1.2 to 2.0 mm used for mechanized surfacing, due to the low technological properties during redistribution.
The closest in technical essence and the achieved result is a prototype consumable electrode for electric arc welding [2] The known consumable electrode is made in the form of a wire from a steel sheath and a core of molybdenum, while its diameter is 0.07 0.5 of the diameter of the electrode.
The disadvantage of the prototype is its low technological properties during redistribution, which are explained by the fact that in the known melting electrode, hardly deformed molybdenum is introduced into the core, which complicates the rolling conditions.
The aim of the proposed invention is to improve the technological properties of the wire for wear resistance of the surfacing of maraging steel in the manufacture.
The purpose of the invention is achieved in that in a consumable electrode made in the form of a wire from a steel sheath and a molybdenum core, the sheath is made of steel containing, by weight.

Thus, the core consists of molybdenum, which is 6.0% of the weight of the wire, and the rest of the molybdenum wire in an amount of 5.0 to 7.0 weight. is in her shell.
1. The consumable electrode was tested under production conditions. In this case, the shells for redistribution were cast with the chemical composition shown in Table 1 and then forged and processed by cutting to dimensions: diameter 95 mm, length 450 mm. The data are given in table. 1.
The diameter of the axial hole for the core-rod depended on the degree of doping with molybdenum through the shell and the rod.
2,0-1,6-1,2. The resulting billets were pressed onto rods with a diameter of 40 mm and rolled onto a wire rod with a diameter of 7 mm. Then, drawing was carried out along a single route adopted for technological high alloy steels 7.0-6.4-5.9-5.4-5.0 heat treatment + surface preparation - 4.1-3.4-2.9-2, 5 heat treatment + surface preparation 2.0-1.6-1.2.
2. According to the given process flow diagram, six variants of preforms with different molybdenum contents in the shell and core were investigated in the redistribution; the total molybdenum content was 12 weight. Assessment of technological properties was given during forging by the number of outbursts, pressing and rolling — the yield of suitable metal for its further redistribution, drawing to obtain a minimum diameter without wire breakage at route junctions. The molybdenum content in the shell and core in weight. as well as the average data of the research results for the three blanks of each option during redistribution are presented in table. 2.
Studies have shown that with free forging of the shell with an increase in the molybdenum content of more than 7 weight. (
After pressing the blanks (shell + core) onto a rod with a diameter of 40 mm,
The rolling of the rods on a wire rod with a diameter of 7 mm was generally satisfactory, although on
Thus, analyzing the results of the redistribution associated with the heating and cooling of the metal, it can be concluded that the workpieces of options 2, 3, and 4 have the best technological properties. They have the smallest number of outbursts during forging, the greatest yield of metal after pressing and rolling.
The wire rod was drawn to the minimum diameter, upon receipt of which no wire breaks were observed. It was found that the wire rod of option 6 (prototype) can be extended to a diameter of 5.4 mm,
The study of the microstructure along and across the wires showed a uniform thickness of the sheath relative to the core.
The study of the influence of the components contained in the shell steel, except for molybdenum, was not carried out, since these components do not affect the metallurgical process. The ratio of the size of the shell and core is a secondary sign, which will be determined by the content of molybdenum in them.
An industrial batch of melting electrodes was made from composite seamless wire of small diameters from 2.0 to 1.2 mm according to options 2, 3, 4. Experimental surfacing was carried out under a flux layer in an atmosphere of argon and carbon dioxide, air (without protection). The weld metal has a good molding, without pores and slag inclusions.
1 The estimated economic effect of using the inventive consumable electrode for wear-resistant surfacing of maraging steel is 54 thousand rubles due to the increase of manufacturability in the metallurgical redistribution.
