A method for automatic detection of narrowband signals, which consists in receiving an analog signal, digitizing it, for which the operations of sampling, quantization and coding are sequentially performed, the cross-correlation function is calculated, the threshold value of the noise level of the digitized signal is calculated, multiplied by a coefficient, compared with the calculated threshold value of the noise level, based on the comparison results, a decision is made about the fact of signal detection, characterized in that a reference signal is preliminarily formed, the parameters of which correspond to the parameters of the detected signal in the absence of noise, the cross-correlation function is calculated between the components of the digitized input implementation containing only noise, and the components reference signal, calculate the value of the standard deviation of the components of the cross-correlation function and multiply it by a coefficient, the value of which is chosen in the range from three to four, the result at is determined as the threshold value of the noise level of the digitized signal, then the digitized analog signal is divided into fragments, the cross-correlation functions are calculated between the components of each of the fragments of the digitized input implementation and the components of the reference signal, which are determined as working, the values of the standard deviation of the components of each of the working functions are calculated cross-correlation, select that fragment of the input implementation of the digitized analog signal that has the largest value of the standard deviation of the components of the working function of the cross-correlation, and compare it with the threshold value of the noise level of the digitized signal, based on the results of the comparison, a decision is made to detect a useful signal, if the value of the standard deviation of the components of the working function of the cross-correlation of the selected fragment will exceed the threshold value of the noise level of the digitized signal, then an additional analysis of the working function is carried out the cross-correlation function of the selected fragment, if the contour of the cross-correlation function is fully displayed within the selected fragment, then the maximum value of the cross-correlation function is determined and the corresponding time value is determined as the detection time of the useful signal, and if the contour of the cross-correlation function is not fully displayed within the selected fragment, then from the components of the selected fragment, as well as the components of the fragments of the digitized analog signal preceding it or following it, a new time fragment of the input implementation is formed so that the contour of the calculated new working cross-correlation function is completely displayed within the new fragment, and then the maximum value of the cross-correlation function and the time value corresponding to it, determine the detection time of the useful signal.
