Abstract
Способ гашения самостоятельного дугового разряда, в котором между электродами с фиксированным расстоянием между ними подается напряжение; возникающий ток плавит и испаряет тонкую проволочку, которая размещается между электродами, при этом расстояние между электродами выбирается таким, при котором разряд самопроизвольно без проволочки не зажигается, а между электродами создаются условия для лавинного пробоя разрядного промежутка, возникающего при наличии в воздухе паров испаряющейся проволочки, отличающийся тем, что, с целью предотвращения зажигания самостоятельного дугового разряда и его гашения разрядный канал помещают в перпендикулярное к каналу магнитное поле такого направления, при котором увеличивается уход заряженных частиц из разрядного промежутка, что препятствует разогреву электродов и затрудняет их испарение.A method of extinguishing an independent arc discharge, in which a voltage is applied between electrodes with a fixed distance between them; the resulting current melts and evaporates a thin wire that is placed between the electrodes, while the distance between the electrodes is chosen so that the discharge does not ignite spontaneously without a wire, and conditions are created between the electrodes for avalanche breakdown of the discharge gap arising in the presence of vapor of the evaporating wire in the air, characterized in that, in order to prevent ignition of an independent arc discharge and its extinction, the discharge channel is placed in a magnetic field taco perpendicular to the channel direction, in which the escape of charged particles from the discharge gap increases, which prevents the heating of the electrodes and impedes their evaporation.
