Abstract

1. A method of drying cellulose, comprising the following steps: - providing cellulose containing cellulose fibers; - feeding cellulose to a wire mesh; - dewatering the pulp using a suction drum, while the suction drum has an open surface area of more than 60% and a shell thickness of more than 50 mm .2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the suction drum comprises a doctor blade. The method of claim 2, wherein the doctor blade is an air knife. A method according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the dry pulp content is 15-30% by weight after passing through the suction drum. A suction drum for drying cellulose, while the suction drum has an open surface area of more than 60% and a shell thickness of more than 50 mm. 6. The suction drum according to claim 5, wherein the suction drum comprises a doctor blade. The suction drum according to claim 6, in which the doctor blade is an air doctor blade.
