Abstract
1. Coated solid flavor particles, comprising: base particles comprising solid flavor particles; a first polymeric coating material at least partially coating the base particles; said first coating material selected from the group consisting of proteins, cationic polysaccharides or non-ionic oligosaccharides polysaccharides or oligosaccharides and mixtures thereof; and a second polymeric coating material, at least partially covering the first coating, said second coating material selected from polysaccharides, proteins, a mixture of polysaccharides, a mixture of proteins or a mixture of polysaccharides and proteins. 2. A coated particle according to claim 1, wherein the solid flavor particle is coated with a hydrophobic coating. A coated particle according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the second polymer coating material is anionic, zwitterionic, or neutral. The coated particle according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the second polymer coating material further comprises a monovalent, divalent or trivalent cation, including potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, or combinations thereof, or anions, including chloride, citrate, lactate, acetate, or combinations thereof .5. The coated particle according to claim 3, wherein the second polymer coating material further comprises a monovalent, divalent or trivalent cation, including potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, or combinations thereof, or anions, including chloride, citrate, lactate, acetate, or combinations thereof. The coated particle according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the coated particle has a zeta potential in the range of about -5 mV to about -60 mV.
