Abstract
Description
The invention relates to chemical-thermal treatment of metals and alloys, and in particular to processes for the chemical modification of the surface of iron alloys in molten salts to increase the antifriction and extreme pressure properties of the treated surfaces. The predominant area of use is the technology of manufacturing the contacting parts of machines from alloys based on iron to prevent scoring, setting and seizing, as well as fretting corrosion.
(1). A known method of hardening the surface of steel products subjected to abrasion, comprising applying to the steel surface a layer of molybdenum disulfide (1).
The disadvantage of this method is the reduced adhesive and antifriction properties of the coating and the long duration of the process (up to 3-7 hours).
The purpose of the invention is to increase the adhesive and antifriction properties of the coating while maintaining the geometric dimensions of the product.
This goal is achieved by the fact that in the proposed method, which includes applying a layer of molybdenum disulfide, it is new that before applying a layer of molybdenum disulfide, the product is processed in a molybdenum melt of eutectic composition, additionally containing 3 to 8 wt. % Copper oxide, at a temperature of 490 - 510 ° C for 10 - 30 min.
М. 125-128).For experimental verification of the coating method were prepared five compositions of the melts. Samples from EI 347 alloys in the form of rollers with a roughness class of the working surface of 9 were previously degreased with galosh gasoline. After drying, samples for nichrome suspension was immersed in a melt and held for 10 - 30 minutes at a temperature of 490 - 510 ° C. The samples were removed from the melt, cooled in air, washed in water and residue from the melt after drying was applied to the molybdenum disulfide. To apply molybdenum disulfide, rubbing with a cotton cloth was used, you can also use tumbling in special devices or magnet-powder methods for applying solid lubricants (Brodsky S.I., Drozdov Yu.N., Pavlov V.T. Application of magnetically active powdered solid lubricants in friction. M ., Science, 1981, pp. 125-128).
1. Tests of the samples were carried out on a friction machine SMT-1.
The test results are shown in the table.
The tests were carried out according to the "disk - disk" scheme with a specific load of 260 MPa and a sliding speed of 0.078 m / s in dry friction.
C 23 C 9/00, 1977.The test results showed that the best antifriction properties have a coating with a sublayer obtained in the melt copper oxide P - molybdate eutectic (6: 94) wt. % At a processing temperature of 500 ° C and isothermal exposure for 20 minutes (Experiment 9). The initial and final friction coefficients were 0.12 and 0.30, respectively. The test time was 70 minutes. Within the declared concentrations and processing modes, the initial and final friction coefficients take the values 0.12 - 0.16 and 0.30 - 0.35, respectively.
