Способ определения выбросоопасных зон в угольных пластах, включающий поинтервальное бурение скважины в забое подготовительной выработки глубиной не менее 5,5 м с шагом не более 1,0 м, измерение начиная с расстояния 0,5 м на каждом интервале выхода буровой мелочи и начальной скорости газовыделения, отличающийся тем, что сначала для условий разработки угольного пласта по величинам газового давления и температуры угольного пласта устанавливают возможность существования в угольном пласте газовых гидратов, после чего в пробуренной скважине измеряют удельное электросопротивление угольного пласта и строят график зависимости удельного электросопротивления угольного пласта от расстояния вдоль оси скважины, с помощью которого определяют ширину зоны угольного пласта, содержащей газовые гидраты природного газа, далее определяют показатель выбросоопасности Rn с учетом ширины зоны угольного пласта, содержащей газовые гидраты и естественной влажности угольного пласта.
