Abstract
352,269. Prospecting. LAUBMEYER, G., 19, Burgfeldstrasse, Wilhelmsh÷he, Cassel, Germany. July 17, 1930, No. 21649. Convention date, Aug. 1, 1929. [Class 85.] Deposits of coal, oil, gas, &c., in the ground are discovered by collecting underground air and quantitatively testing the air for gases relating tc the deposit. A number of boreholes are driven on the site under test and around each borehole, cylinders 1, 2, connected by a ring 3, are driven into the ground. Packing 7 is then placed on the ring 3 and a cover 4, with a valved pipe 5, is bolted in position. After a given time, a sample of air is taken from each borehole and tested. One cylinder or more than two concentric cylinders may be provided.
