Claims (17)

1. Композиционное изделие, имеющее модуль упругости при изгибе, по меньшей мере, примерно 80000 ф/дюйм2 (552 МПа), предел прочности при изгибе, равный, по меньшей мере, примерно 800 ф/дюйм2 (5,52 МПа), поверхностную плотность, равную примерно от 0,9 ф/фут2 (4,40 кг/м2) до 1,5 ф/фут2 (5,86 кг/м2), и VO скорость, равную, по меньшей мере, примерно 1430 фут/с (427 м/с) при испытании с использованием пуль 44 Magnum Jacketed Hollow Point (JHP) массой 240 гран (15,6 г) и пуль 9 мм Full Metal Jacketed, Round Nose (FMJ RN) массой 124 гран (8,0 г).
2. Композиционное изделие, состоящее из множества слоев, соединенных вместе, где первый слой выполнен из металлической фольги, второй слой выполнен из огнестойкого связующего и третий слой выполнен из многих слоев, причем каждый из этих слоев содержит сетку из воспламеняющихся полимерных волокон в матрице и эти полимерные волокна имеют прочность, равную, по меньшей мере, примерно 17 г/денье, модуль упругости при растяжении, равный, по меньшей мере, примерно 500 г/денье и энергию разрушения, равную, по меньшей мере, примерно 20 Дж/г.
3. Композиционное изделие по п.2, отличающееся тем, что оно дополнительно содержит четвертый слой, выполненный из огнестойкого связующего, и пятый слой, выполненный из металлической фольги.
4. Композиционное изделие по п.2, отличающееся тем, что оно дополнительно содержит вспучивающуюся полимерную композицию между указанными первым и вторым слоями.
5. Композиционное изделие по п.4, отличающееся тем, что оно дополнительно содержит пятый слой, состоящий из вспучивающейся полимерной композиции, шестой слой, состоящий из огнестойкого связующего, и седьмой слой, выполненный из металлической фольги.
6. Композиционное изделие по п.2 или по п.4, отличающееся тем, что металлическая фольга представляет собой алюминиевую фольгу толщиной от 0,0005 дюймов (12,7 мкм) до 0,005 дюймов (127 мкм).
7. Композиционное изделие по п.2 или 4, отличающееся тем, что указанное огнестойкое связующее представляет собой полимерное связующее, выбранное из группы, состоящей из полиолефинов, полидиенов, сложных полиэфиров, полиамидов, виниловых полимеров, иономеров, акриловых полимеров, полиакрилатов, полисульфонов, полифениленоксида, полиацеталей, силиконов, термопластичных полиуретанов, термопластичных полиимидов, поликетонов, фенольных полимеров, меламиновых смол, эпоксидных смол, ненасыщенных сложных полиэфиров, термореактивных полиуретанов и их сополимеров и галогенсодержащих производных, и по меньшей мере одно соединение из группы антипиренов.
8. Композиционное изделие по п.2 или 4, отличающееся тем, что огнестойкое связующее представляет собой смесь окиси сурьмы (Sb2О3), декабромдифенилового эфира и полихлорированного парафинового воска в полиакрилатном связующем.
9. Композиционное изделие по п.2 или 4, отличающееся тем, что воспламеняющиеся полимерные волокна являются полиэтиленовыми.
10. Композиционное изделие по п.9, отличающееся тем, что полиэтиленовые волокна ориентированы в слое в одном направлении, и волокна в соседних слоях ориентированы под углом друг к другу примерно 90°.
11. Композиционное изделие по п.2 или 4, отличающееся тем, что матрица является эластомером, имеющим первоначальный модуль упругости при растяжении менее примерно 6000 ф/дюйм2 (41,4 МПа).
12. Композиционное изделие по п.11, отличающееся тем, что матрица представляет собой эластомер, являющийся блок-сополимером сопряженного диена и винилароматического мономера.
13. Композиционное изделие по п.2 или 4, отличающееся тем, что матрица представляет собой термореактивную смолу с модулем упругости при растяжении, равным по меньшей мере 300 кф/дюйм2 (2,1 ГПа).
14. Композиционное изделие по п.13, отличающееся тем, что матрица является полимером эпоксивинилового эфира.
15. Композиционное изделие по п.3, отличающееся тем, что вспучивающаяся полимерная композиция представляет собой вспениватель, выбранный из группы, состоящей из меламина, солей меламина, производных меламина, мочевины, дициандиамида и гуанидина, диспергированный в смоле, выбранной из группы, состоящей из фенольных полимеров, меламиновых полимеров, эпоксидных смол, силиконов, ненасыщенных сложных полиэфиров и термореактивных полиуретанов.
16. Композиционное изделие по п.4, отличающееся тем, что вспучивающаяся полимерная композиция состоит, по меньшей мере, из одного вещества, выбранного из группы, состоящей из пирофосфата меламина (C3H6N6·H4P2O7) и бис(меламинпирофосфорной)кислоты (C6H12N12·H4P2O7), и вещества, выбранного из группы, состоящей из формальдегид-фурфураль-резорцин-фенольной смолы и эпоксидной смолы.
17. Композиционное изделие по п.12, отличающееся тем, что вспучивающаяся полимерная композиция дополнительно содержит 2-35 вес.% стеклянных шариков.
